Don’t Underestimate the Power of Small Habits

Have you ever thought of changing the world?

How about changing your country, your city, and even just your community?

How about changing yourself?

Sometimes, because of the big and ambitious things that we want in life, we focus on the big and ambitious things as well.

We forgot the value of the small things.

Because we have ignored them for too long, we wonder why we don’t see the change that we want to see in us or in the world.

I have a video here that I would like to share.

It’s a video of a US Navy Admiral giving a speech.

His name is William McRaven.

I think every one of us can learn something about this motivational and inspirational video.

Here it is:

As you can see, it is the small habits that really define us.

Why?

Because, if you think about it, the big accomplishments in your life are the results of small, but consistent good habits.

This reminds me of the wise sayings of the greatest Teacher who ever walked on this planet:

He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much (Luke 16:10).

Such a powerful statement that deserves our full attention.

Yahshua or Jesus Christ is telling us that if God can’t trust us with the small things in life, how can He trust us with the big things?

If we are not able to follow Him now during our physical life, how can He be sure that we will follow Him when we are already spiritual beings infused with eternal life?

So, if you want to change the world, start changing yourself.

Simply put:

Change starts in you and it starts with small beginnings.
