In Silence We Wait and Pray

In this post, let me share with you a moving and inspiring music presentation by our church’s choir. In the same time, let me give words of encouragement in this time of pandemic.

We just concluded our Feast of the Unleavened Bread. It has been a meaningful and profitable feast for all of us as it teaches us the need to remove sin and replace it with God’s righteousness.

During our service, our virtual choir gave a powerful rendition of the song, In Silence We Wait and Pray.

Here’s the video of the virtual choir. May it inspire you as much as it inspired me:

The wonderful song is about the longing of God’s servant for the return of His Son. It’s a prayer of asking for God’s comfort, love, and mercy.

I believe this song is fitting and timely to our current situation. As the world is engulfed in this dreaded pandemic, we do our part in stopping it.

However, as humans, we are reminded of how limited we are and that after doing our best, we come to God and ask for His help.

The song is a plea for God’s divine intervention, but at the same time, an expression of our great reliance to Him.

Though we ask God to stop the pandemic, we still seek His will and perfect timing.

This reminds me of Psalms 62:1-2:

Truly my soul silently waits for God;
From Him comes my salvation.
He only is my rock and my salvation;
He is my defense;
I shall not be greatly moved.

No doubt, we may be waiting in silence, but our Heavenly Father is working mightily in ways we can’t imagine.

This pandemic is a great reminder of how fragile life can be and it is by surrendering our lives to Yah that we are able to live this life in peace.

May we learn the lessons God is teaching us through this coronavirus pandemic and may we all silently wait and pray for God’s intervention.
