Where is Coronavirus Disease in Bible Prophecy?

The world is shaken by the latest pandemic namely, the Covid-19 or coronavirus disease. It has already infected hundreds of thousands of people and it has killed thousands of them. A lot of cities are in lockdown or quarantine. Countless events were canceled and the global economy is dwindling.

With all the fear, death, and uncertainty we see around us, you might ask, what does the Bible tells us about the coronavirus disease? Is COVID-19 part of biblical prophecy?

That’s exactly what we are going to discuss right now.

Obviously, the word “coronavirus” doesn’t appear in the Bible. Not only that, if you look at our history, but diseases, epidemics, and pandemics have also already been part of our life.

So, what is so special about coronavirus?

Well, here’s what you need to know. The proliferation of infectious and virulent diseases has already been prophesied thousands of years ago and it has been written in the Bible.

I want us to focus on the last book of the Bible, the Book of Revelation.

When you read the sixth chapter, you will learn about the Four Horsemen. They are commonly called the four horsemen of revelation or four horsemen of the apocalypse.

Each of these horsemen symbolizes something, but for the purpose of this video, I just want us to focus on the last and final horseman, the fourth one.

We read in Revelation 6:7-8:

When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.

What does this strange horseman represent? No doubt, there’s a lot of symbolism here and it will take a lot of time to deeply explain them.

For now, let me just break it down for you.

The first three horsemen represent religious deception, war, and famine respectively. However, the fourth horseman represents pestilence, which means plagues and diseases.

Now, here’s the scary and chilling thing that you should take note:

By the time the fourth horseman completes its march, a fourth of the human population would have already been wiped out!

Currently, it is estimated that the human population is around 7.7 billion.

What’s a fourth of 7.7 billion people?

That’s almost 2 billion people! That’s almost equivalent to the entire population of the United States and China combined!

If you think COVID-19 is already the worst thing that happened to the world, think again.

While thousands have already died, it doesn’t come close to what the Bible has prophecied.

Let me tell you my friend, COVID-19, as bad as it may look like right now, will be nothing compared to what will happen on this earth during the end time.

Actually, COVID-19 is giving us a glimpse of what will happen in the future.

And here’s the truth: there will even be deadlier diseases that will appear in the last days that will kill multiple millions of people.

I’m not here to scare you. Far be it!

The main purpose of biblical prophecies is to serve as a warning to all people in the world. It tells us that this world is heading to complete chaos and time will come that nothing can save the human race except for one thing – the coming of the Master and Savior Jesus Christ or Yahshua the Messiah.

Thankfully, we can all look forward to that time when He will establish the Kingdom of God here on earth and finally put an end to diseases, famine, war, and religious deception.

That’s why, friends, as early as now, seek God while He may be found because time will come, when it will be too late and you won’t be able to find Him.

So, yes, things will get worse as we move toward the end times, but let us remember the words of our Savior when He said, “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near” (Luke 21:28).
