Top 10: Psalm 23

The ETERNAL is my shepherd;

I shall not want.

He makes me to lie down in green pastures;

He leads me beside the still waters.

He restores my soul;

He leads me in the paths of righteousness

For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil;

For You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;

You anoint my head with oil;

My cup runs over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me

All the days of my life;

And I will dwell in the house of Eternal Forever.

Psalm 23. lost sheep.

I think you will agree with me if I say that the most popular chapter in the book of Psalm would be the 23rd chapter and it is truly understandable!

Psalm 23 is among the most encouraging verses that I always turn to when I feel down and sad.

In the opening verse, it says that is Yahweh, the Eternal, the One who is the Supreme Ruler of the entire universe, is your personal Shepherd.

He takes care of us.

He loves us and provides all our needs.

And because He is our Shepherd, we will NOT lack anything that we need.

I strongly admonish you to read Psalm 23 and understand the meaning of each word it conveys.

From providing all our needs to protecting us from evil, God is always there for us.

To top it all, Psalm 23 ends with the promise that we will dwell in the house of the Almighty.

We will no longer be strangers, but we will be called children of the Most High!

Top 9: Psalm 84:11

For the Eternal God is a sun and shield;

YAHWEH will give grace and glory;

No good thing will He withhold

From those who walk uprightly.

Psalm 84:11 I will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly.

Here’s a promise that you can count on.

Psalm 84:11 tells us that the Creator of the heavens and the earth is our sun and shield.

He gives us light and protects us from all forms of evil.

The Eternal will grant us favor and glory.

He will bless us according to his richness.

Now, here’s what you should take note of.

He will NOT withhold anything that is good for us.

So, if you prayed for something and God didn’t give it to you, He knows that what you are asking won’t be good.

If God knows that it will be good for us, then He will surely give us.

That’s basically what this verse is telling us.

God has our best interest in mind.

In His infinite wisdom, He sees the beginning and the end.

He perfectly knows what’s good and bad for us.

Thus, we simply need to trust Him that whatever He grants us will be for our ultimate good.

Top 8: Matthew 19:29-30

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last first Matthew 19:30

Sometimes, the best way for us to get inspired and motivated is to think about the rewards we will receive when Yahshua (Jesus Christ) returns here on earth.

In following God, it is no secret that we will meet a lot of adversities and lose something in doing what is good.

However, in Matthew 19, Jesus is encouraging us that whatever we lose in this life, we will receive back not just twice or thrice as much, but He will bless us a hundredfold of whatever we have lost!

Christ was saying that if following Him will cost us our properties, our loved ones, our earthly possessions, the respect of others, our job, and education, just let go of them.

Why?

Because He will reward us more than what we have lost.

He will reward us in ways we have never imagined!

Not only that, but He will reward us with the ultimate reward – the eternal life.

If you think about it, losing everything just to gain God’s approval would be all worth it in the end.

Yes, you might be last today because you have followed God, but you will surely be first in His Kingdom!

Now, that’s something that you should encourage you!

Top 7: Romans 8:31-32, 35, 37-39

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

In this passage, the Apostle Paul poses a question:

If God is for us, who can be against us?

Such a powerful and profound question!

Whenever you feel upset, depressed, sad, frustrated, and disappointed, you need to remember that God is with you.

And if God is with you, no one can be against you.

The Apostle Paul continued on by saying that NOTHING can separate us from the love of Christ.

In fact, we are more than conquerors because God loves us.

We must be like Paul who is fully convinced and persuaded that not even death, life, angels, principalities, height and depth can ever separate us from God and His Son.

So, no matter what you’re going through right now, please know that even that problem will never EVER separate you from God.

Top 6: II Corinthians 5:7

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

For we walk by faith, not by sight. II Corinthians 5:7

We walk by faith.

It means that we think, we talk, and we act in faith.

Human reasoning may tell us that it is impossible.

It can’t be done.

It’s hopeless.

There’s no way out.

But faith tells us:

It can be done.

We have hope.

God will make a way.

That is what it means to walk by faith.

We don’t use our human sight.

We may see everything is against us, but by using the eyes of faith, we see that God is with us and so, we can be confident that He will help us and never forsake us.

Now, that’s faith.

Don’t let your physical circumstances decide what faith can achieve.

Therefore, don’t depend on what you see, but depend on God’s vision for you.

Top 5: Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

In this life, you’ll get to the point that things aren’t just making sense.

You have a lot of questions, but you don’t have the answers.

In your trouble, you cry out to God and ask for His help, but it seems nothing is happening.

Romans 8:28 reminds us that whatever you are going through, it will all turn out good as long as you are called by God and you are doing His purpose in your life.

Your suffering right now is working out a greater purpose for you.

Yes, you may not understand things right now – why you are going through this trial.

But one thing is for sure, it will all eventually make sense.

You will come to a point in your life where you will be able to piece everything and finally see why you went through such a trial.

Yes, you’ll be able to look back and say, “It’s all worth it.”

If you don’t understand now, you can still be confident that God will make all things work out together for good.

Have faith because He will surely do that because whatever He promises, He will surely deliver.

Top 4: II Corinthians 4:16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

In this passage, Paul is telling us that we shouldn’t lose heart.

We shouldn’t get discouraged.

We shouldn’t quit.

Why?

Because even if our physical body is perishing, our spiritual body is not.

It is being renewed day by day.

The suffering that we experience right now is temporary, but our reward is eternal.

That’s why we need to keep on focusing on God’s kingdom.

It doesn’t perish.

It is eternal.

It will last forever.

When our focus is on God, on His promises, and His reward, we can derive additional strength.

Though our physical circumstances may put us down, we will not let it destroy us.

Because we know, at the end of it, God will send back His Son to rescue this dying world and usher in His Kingdom – where we will forever reign.

Top 3: Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for Yahweh your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for Yahweh your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

Isn’t it comforting to know that God is with us?

Not only that, but He will NEVER leave us nor forsake us.

That’s why we can be strong and of courage.

Not just any courage, but of GOOD courage.

We can be confident in God’s protection, love, and care that we shouldn’t fear anymore.

If you are fearful…

If you are anxious…

If you are worried about what the future holds…

Then, you stop.

Because God promises us that wherever we might be, He will go with us.

You can confidently say, “Though I walk in the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil. For God is with me.”

Top 2: I Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. I Corinthians 10:13

This verse is something you should always remember every time you are faced with a temptation, trial, or any type of problem.

Remember that whatever you are going through right now, you can go through it.

You can successfully overcome it.

Why?

Because God says that He will not give us more than what we are able.

He is FAITHFUL and what He says in the Bible, He will surely do.

He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear.

With every temptation, he promised that he will provide a way of escape.

So, we shouldn’t make an excuse that our temptation is too much for us to handle.

In reality, there’s no temptation or trial that we can’t overcome.

The more difficult the temptation, the more God believes in us.

He knows that we can handle it and so He gives us a trial that will help us develop godly character.

It is through trials that we become spiritually and physically stronger.

Our tests in life are not there to make us fail but to help us grow.

So, the next time you are tempted, remember I Corinthians 10:13.

You can be sure that God will not allow any temptation to come near you that you can’t overcome.

Top 1: Revelation 21:3-4

And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God, Himself, will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Revelation 21 4

We live in a morally decaying world.

It is in grave chaos.

No day passes by without us hearing bad news.

We hear of diseases, famine, war, and death.

All of these bring us untold suffering.

However, no matter how dark and drear this world could ever be, we can always turn to the final chapters of the Bible and see the future.

This world will not end in destruction.

But it will experience a time when God the Father will dwell with us.

He will finally establish His tabernacle with men.

And on that day, the book of Revelation tells us that God will wipe away EVERY tear from our eyes.

Not only that, but he will destroy death.

As a result, there will be no more sadness.

No more crying.

No more pain.

No more evil.

For on that day, all those things will be history.

They will all be gone and will not be part of God’s Kingdom.

You and I can obtain great comfort from these verses.

It is telling us that no matter what happens in this life, we can always look forward to that time when God will finally be with us.

There will be no more suffering, but only joy, prosperity, and peace.

All the more we continually pray, “Thy Kingdom come.”

Final words

These are Bible verses that I consider the most encouraging, inspiring, and motivating passages.

Remember these inspiring Bible verses every time you go through life’s trials and difficulties.

Don’t get discouraged, instead, feel empowered and strengthened.

Have faith in God.

Trust in Him.

He will not let us run our Christian walk alone.

He will be with us wherever we go.
