Here’s to the Greatest Feast of Tabernacles!

Here’s a quick look at our Feast of Tabernacles this year. Indeed, it was truly a memorable, enjoyable, and profitable Feast punctuated by God’s protection!

Supremely blessed.

Joyful.

Profitable.

Memorable.

Those are just some of the words that I would use to describe this year’s Feast of Tabernacles.

Of course, no words could really describe what we had during the Feast. You just have to experience it yourself to truly appreciate what God has blessed us with.

To give you an idea of our Feast of Tabernacles this year, here’s our Festival video:

The Feast of Tabernacles pictures the time when Yahshua (Jesus Christ) will return here on earth and establish the Father’s Kingdom. He will then rule together with the saints who will help in teaching the people about Yahweh’s way of life.

The Feast of Tabernacles pictures the time when there will be great abundance, world peace, prosperity, healing, and most importantly, love among all the people on earth.

Our Feast site was held in Eden Nature Park, Davao City, Philippines. Its cool weather, huge trees, lush greeneries, beautiful flowers, timid animals, and environment combine together to give us a foretaste of what it would be like to be in the Kingdom of Yahweh.

One of the greatest challenges that we had, actually, a challenge for all of us every year, is the financial aspect. Not all of us are can afford to go to the Feast. Even among faithful brethren, their second tithe isn’t just enough.

Thankfully, our Heavenly Father has blessed us with what we need. He used a lot of people to come forward and help us financially. The Go Get Funding campaign was a big success. We hit our target and this gave us the sufficient down payment for us to use the Eden Nature Park facility.

The Feast of Tabernacles lasts for seven days and on the eighth day, we have the Last Great Day. Every day, we have our congregational services. We were spiritually nourished with inspiring and meaty messages given to us by God’s servants.

In the afternoon and evening, if it is not a Sabbath, we have our scheduled activities:

  • Eden Nature Park tour
  • Baptism counseling
  • Youth and Singles Forum
  • Youth Day
  • Seniors’ Night
  • Variety Show
  • Family Day
  • Married Couples Bible Forum
  • Bible Study Q & A
  • Parents Bible Forum
  • Fruit Festival
  • Workshops

This year’s Festival theme is, “Behold, I am Coming Quickly.”

Here’s the stage for the Feast of Tabernacles.

The theme is inspired by Revelation 3:11 and 22:7, 12, and 20. During the Feast, most messages revolved around this theme where we were reminded about the imminent return of our Savior, Yahshua.

We are urged to never procrastinate and to answer God’s calling now. We must not delay, but rather be serious in making our calling sure. Since Christ is coming quickly, we must be about our Father’s business and be laser-focused in doing His will in our lives and fulfilling His purpose.

This year, we had an increase in attendance. I remember, when we started in 2016, our attendance was around 120. In 2017, we are about 140. In 2018, it slightly decreased to about 130. However, this year, we had a bigger group and our attendance reached as high as 172.

Here are some of the brethren after our Family Day activity.

I think one of the things that made this year’s Feast is the earthquake of 6.7 intensity. It was a strong earthquake that shook the ground not just horizontally, but vertically.

God’s protection was upon us.

No one was hurt nor anything was damaged in spite of the strong earthquake. I believe God is simply telling His people that Yahshua is truly “coming quickly” as what our theme mentioned. He is also reminding us that we must not worry, but rather trust in Him as He has put His name in our Feast site and there’s nothing for us to fear.

Truly, the combination of friendship, fellowship, brotherly love, and the heart of service made this Feast a truly remarkable and memorable one. This Feast would not have been possible and successful without the people God used as an instrument to make it happen.

I sincerely thank all the people who helped us financially through our funding campaign. I also thank those who have faithfully and tirelessly served during the Feast.

I could truly say, “No heart is bigger than the heart of a volunteer.” Why? Because volunteers are not motivated by what they can get, but rather, what they can give.

As we move forward from the Feast, I will never forget the joyful smiles, the challenges we overcame, the message of hope we’ve heard, the friendship we’ve made, and most importantly, the living testimony that Yahweh is truly and without a doubt with us.

Yes, I might forget the exact words spoken during the Feast, but I will never forget how the Feast made us feel.

As we wave our goodbyes to each other, it is my sincerest hope to spend the next year’s Feast together again, as one people and as one BIG spiritual family under God’s authority.

Yes, it was the BEST FEAST ever but the very best is yet to come. It would be when the Father sends back His Son here on earth and solve every problem this world has ever known.

It would be the day when “God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” (Revelation 21:4).

Thus we pray, “Thy Kingdom come!”
