3 Little-Known Bible Verses Reveal One Shocking Truth about Heaven

How much do you know about heaven?

Are you sure that what you know about heaven squares with what the Bible reveals?

Most importantly, is your view of heaven actually hinder you from being in the Kingdom of God?

What does the Bible say about heaven?

In this post, let me share with you ONE shocking truth about heaven.

This truth has not been revealed to the majority of Christians today. In fact, most who hears or read about this truth brush it off as heresy.

Well, what if I can prove this truth through the Bible? Would you give me a chance to explain my point?

What if this truth, HIDDEN to millions of Christians around the world, can set you free from the deception that Satan has cast to this world?

What if this truth is something that you haven’t heard before and it is actually the truth that nobody knows?

Hear me out for a minute because I will tell you something that you will not probably believe unless I support it with the bible verses.

Listen carefully. Here’s the truth about heaven that you haven’t heard about:

No human being has ever been in heaven.

Yes, you read that right.

Let me repeat. Since the time of Adam and Eve, no one has actually gone to heaven!

We were commonly taught that when a righteous dies, he or she immediately goes to heaven.

But is it really true? Is it what the Bible teaches?

Obviously, anyone can make a statement, but backing it up with is something different.

Lest you think that I’m inventing stuff, I’ll show you at least three bible verse that will prove my point.

Verse no. 1: Acts 2:29, 34

“Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day… David did not ascend into the heavens.”

If there is one person that should be in heaven right now, it will be King David, right?

After all, he is regarded in the Bible as the author of Psalms, the righteous king of Israel, and even called a man after God’s own heart (Acts 13:22).

But you will be surprised that the Bible says that David never even get close anywhere near heaven.

Verse no. 2: John 5:28-29

“Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are IN THE GRAVES shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation” (John 5:28-29).

Did Yahshua or Jesus Christ said that those who kept His words will hear his voice from heaven? No. It is clear. They will hear His voice from the grave!

Read that again. The righteous were never in heaven all along. If that is the case, what is the use of Jesus coming here on earth when all the while everyone is already in heaven? Or why resurrect people if they are already in heaven?

Obviously, something is wrong with the doctrine of people going to heaven after they die.

Verse no. 3: John 3:13

No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, The Son of Man”.

Nothing can be clearer than that. Jesus Christ is the best and perfect witness who can provide us a precise picture of what heaven is like.

Since He came from heaven, He is more than credible to tell us if there are people who ever went to heaven. But His remark is quite surprising because NO ONE HAS ASCENDED TO HEAVEN. These include all the righteous people who lived and died before Him.

Final words

I know this is a lot to take in. But who will you believe? Will you believe the tradition of men or the teachings of God through the Bible?

You decide.

Please note these verses are not my words. All I did was quote them from the Bible.

  1. I shared your post, as I do many times to my FB page Calltopreparation Tlnminstry. I received a couple of replies which were in a thinking manner and not negative comments as I actually anticipated. I enjoy your concise, to the point teachings. I see that you are doing your best to bear the standard of Scripture. Blessings and Shalom.

      • I’ve been telling people this for many years, but most won’t accept it. People are funny that way…They are going to believe what THEY want to believe even if God says different . Many places in the bible clearly say that the dead are dead…they sleepeth…the dead know nothing . People need to use common sense about this subject . It’s true that if the dead live on someplace, what would be the purpose of the resurrection? But a lot of people are going to go right along believing that their loved ones are presently in Heaven . The fact that God says otherwise doesn’t matter to them.

      • Hi Ron!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I believe this is just part of Satan’s deception. The world is deceived and we thank Yahweh for revealing us this truth. Only a few know about this and fewer would even believe it.

      • Dear brother heaven is different from paradise the dead in christ will be in paradise until second coming of Christ .

    • Don’t discourage people what makes a human is his or her is her spirit. We shall go back to where we came from. Our souls will be transformed again and the spirit in us is what is going to be judged when Jesus comes back and that spirit is you, not your body and bornes like you explained about David.

    • I read this article with interest. I recall that Enoch did not die but was taken up. Where did he go if not to heaven. I also recall what Jesus told the thief on the cross “ today you will be in Paradise with me. Is Paradise not Heaven?8

      • Hi Linda!

        Those are great questions.

For Enoch, he died like any human beings. The heaven mentioned in his story is simply the sky.

For the thief on the cross, the placement of the comma was wrongly placed.

        It should not be:

Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

        But, it should be:

Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in paradise.”

Remember, Jesus didn’t go to paradise on that day. Instead, He went to the grave for three days and three nights.

        I hope that clarifies. 🙂

        Regards,
        Joshua

    • My question is where is our spirit ? My mother was a righteous woman she passed away is her spirit not in heaven? Is our spirit our soul?

      • Hi LoAnn!

The world of Christianity has a wrong understanding of what soul means. Soul is us, our human body.

However, the spirit of man is something that God gives us so that we think like a human being. What sets us apart from other animals and that’s why we have superior intellect is because of the spirit of man.

When we die, that spirit goes back to the Father. However, it is not something conscious. It isn’t our consciousness.

Your mother, along with other righteous saints are waiting for the resurrection.

        Regards,
        Joshua

      • Hi LoAnn,

The answer to your question is in the Bible, please do read the book of Ecclesiastis the chapter is 9.

When we die, the Spirit goes back to the Giver, the Giver being God

      • No our spirit is not our soul. Our soul and our body can not coexist. When the body dies the soul dies. Our spirit is our breath. When Adam was created he was not yet alive, until God breathed the breath of life into his nostril’s then he became a living soul. So when the body dies the soul dies with it and the spirit goes back to God who gave it. No one is going to heaven. The New Jerusalem is coming down to earth from heaven. We who are saved will inherit the earth.

  2. I agree…but almost no persons.
Enoch, and Elijah were caught up bodily form. They never died. And the body of Moses was fought over between God and Satan. Of course God won. And his body was never buried. Moses also was resurrected.

    • Hi Emma!

Enoch and Elijah both died and they never went up to the third heaven, where God’s throne is. The words of Yahshua (Jesus) stand true that no one has ascended to heaven.

      Regards,
      Joshua

      • Brother, scripture plainly tells us that Enoch walked with God and Enoch was not for God took Him. He has not seen death and nowhere in scripture does it state he dies and the same for Elijah. Elisha saw him taken up in a chariot of fire, he has not died. Finally Jesus ascended into the heart of the earth and lead those in captivity captive. The body returns to the dust from where it came and the spirit unto the Lord who gave it. I believe more that those who died in the Lord are in that place called paradise which could be considered heaven compared to this world. I can agree that no one has actually been to heaven, their body is dead but the real you the spirit is very much alive and well. Blessings…..One last thing scripture clearly states that the thief on the cross is in paradise period. That would be his spirit man.

  3. Can you explain then why he told the man next to him on the cross that he would be in paradise that day with him.
    Thank you

    • Hi Pat!

Thanks for your interest in learning the truth.

The thief on the cross did not go to heaven immediately after his death. He went straight to the grave just like Christ did. However, Christ rose again on the third day while the thief stayed in the grave and is still waiting for the future resurrection of the dead until now.

This is a huge topic and I have written my full explanation here: http://www.biblicaltruths.com/thief-cross-go-paradise-day/

      Regards,
      Joshua

    • Acts 2:29-34
Speaks of the fact that David did not ascend into heaven the way Jesus that Jesus did through the bodily Resurrection .
      3 John 3:13
Once again speaks of the bodily Resurrection of Jesus
2 John 5: 28,29 your body has a Nephesh soul and is ths soul that will hear the voice of the LORD.

  4. What about Enoch, Elijah, Noah’s great grandad and a few others? Didn’t God take them to Heaven while they were alive (or ascension I think…)?

    • Hi Gloria!

      Thanks for your comment.

The truth is that they didn’t go to heaven. The problem is the understanding of the word of “heaven.” In the Bible there are three types of heaven. The first, second, and third heaven. The third heaven is where the throne of God is.

If you read through Enoch and Elijah’s story, you will that these people died and went to the grave. They were taken to “heaven” in a sense that they are just taken in the sky and place to another place on earth.

I’m planning to write an article about this in the future. So, please stay tune. 🙂

      Regards,
      Joshua

  5. You have given me something to think about and study on. But what about Luke 23:43 And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.”

    • Hi Dean!

      Thanks for your comment.

The problem with Luke 23:43 is the translation. In the original Greek, there’s no comma. So, in this translation, the comma should be places after “today” rather than before it.

      It should be read:

Truly I say to you today, you shall be with Me in Paradise.”

We can be confident this is the correct translation because on that day, Christ didn’t go to the paradise, but He went to the grave.

      I hope this helps. 🙂

      Regards,
      Joshua

  6. Yes. You are right with your post. My Christian Church believes in so many thing about heaven and even command us to believe in some YouTube videos about men or women who went to hell and heaven and sees so many personalities there. As i study the bible i found out that some teaching that they feed on us are lies and teaching of men. Thanks for enlightenment to continue to study deeply the truth about heaven and by the way i view the heaven as a Tabernnacle of Moses because YHWH show this to Moses and he made a replica at the wilderness to be the center of worship and also John saw an Ark of The Covenant in heaven upon his vision in the book of Revelation so i believe that heaven was look like the Tabernacle of Moses

  7. With regards to no human having gone to heaven.
It is true that when one dies they remain in the grave until the first or second resurrection.
However there are those who have ascended according to scripture:
    Christ
    Moses
    Enoch
    Elijah
Those resurrected at the time of Jesus’s resurrection.
I understand the point you were making about the misconceptions people throughout the Christian world share.
Nobody goes to heaven at the point of death, first there is a resurrection.

  8. You forget Jesus’ story of the rich man and Lazarus. Lazarus went to Paradise. Also know as Abraham’s bossom. That is where David along with the other Old Testament saints went. And that is not Heaven. And you would be right. But the Bible also says that after Jesus’s death and most like sometime after His Resurrection the Bible said that He took captivity captive, meaning that those in Paradise was taken to Heaven. And the call from Heaven is for the body. And my question would be, how can one be in the grave or in Paradise or Heaven at the same time? Seeing that the Lazarus in Jesus’ story was in Paradise. But the Lazarus Jesus rose from the dead was in the grave. So again how can someone be in two different places at the same time?
