I want to share a story with you, which I read in the past. I have reworded it to make it shorter. As you read the story, I want you to put yourself in the shoes of the main character. The story goes like this:

The day is over and while you are driving home, you tune in the radio. The broadcasters are talking about a mysterious disease that has killed three people in an obscure village in India. Since it is far from home, you couldn’t care less.

The next day, you hear the same news about the mysterious disease. Now, it has killed not just three people, but 30,000. The news tells describes how fast the disease is spreading throughout India. They are now sending doctors to investigate. The United States also stepped in and sent its own experts to see what is going on.

The Unfathomable Love of our Heavenly Father toward Us!

In just a week, the mysterious disease had spread. But now, it is not just in India, but in Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, and all neighboring countries. Europe and the United States have now closed its borders. People all over the world are praying for its containment.

However, after several days, the unexpected happens, the mysterious disease has reached other continents including Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa, and Australia. The death toll has now reached into millions.

In your small town, you pray that the disease will not come to your place. Your town was spared for a few months, but just after a few weeks, news broke out and says a man just died in a local hospital miles away from your town. It was confirmed. The mysterious disease is closing into your doors. It is just a matter of time before it reaches your town.

Everyone is in panic mode. People feel that it is the end of the world and the disease would wipe the human race off from the face of the planet.

In the midst of chaos and mess, a glimmer of hope shines upon the world. The doctors discovered how to stop the disease. They learned that the cure could be made from a unique and pure blood type.

So, everyone was called to have their blood tested. Among these people are your family. Everyone in the community undergone the blood test.

Then suddenly, the doctors shouted jubilantly, “We found the blood! We found the cure! We can now save the world from this mysterious disease.” Everyone was happy. Everyone was jumping up and down for joy. You are one of them.

The doctor called the person who has the pure, unique, and clean blood. At first, you thought that the name the doctor is calling is familiar to you. You move closer just to confirm. Your son, who is just standing along with you said, “Father, the doctor is calling my name.”

To your surprise, your child, your one and only child, was the chosen one who will donate his blood.

The doctor said, “I didn’t expect that it was a child. We would need a great amount of blood to create the cure for everyone. People around the world are dying and the only hope that we have right now is your son. I know it will be hard for you, but we are talking about the world here. We are talking about millions and even billions of people who will die any time soon without your son’s blood. However, I’m afraid, your son’s young body will not be able to handle the stress and he will surely die during the blood extraction.”

You look around you. There’s no doubt; there are some people who deserve to live, but how about the criminals, the murderers, the rapists, the adulterers, the hypocrites, the neighbor who just cursed at you this morning, the man who steals your money, and the corrupt officials in the government? You feel like they don’t deserve to live.

Would you really give up your only son to give life to these people of whom, the majority of them you don’t even know?

Nevertheless, with a heavy and broken heart and an unimaginable pain that you can’t understand, you gave up your son. In order to save the whole world, the price to pay is your son’s life and blood. Everyone was saved, but not your son. He died as a hero to many people.

The next week, there is a ceremony to honor your son. Some people sleep through it. Some people ignore it. Some people simply went on with their own busy life, not even knowing that an innocent boy died in their place.

Some people come, but not wholeheartedly. Only a few came to really mourn and appreciate your son’s sacrifice. In your mind, you want to scream out loud, “MY SON DIED FOR YOU! DON’T YOU CARE?” Can you give him importance, be grateful, and know him better? But as much as you want, you can’t force them but all have their own decision to make.

The 10 Best Books that Prove Christianity is True

This story demonstrates the type of love our Heavenly Father has for us. While admittedly, no story, analogy, or example can fully express the tremendous love Yahweh has for us, the story I just shared with you gives you a perspective of what our Father has to go through just to grant us the chance to salvation.

In the Christian world, we commonly see people who are focused on Jesus. Now, I’m not against that, but too often than not, most Christians today forget about the Father. Some Christians don’t even know the role of Yahweh in their lives.

Brethren, as we approach the Passover, I want us to also reflect on the sacrifice of our Heavenly Father just to grant us the opportunity to be part of His Family. I hope this story shows us the magnitude of Yahweh’s sacrifice and the pain He has to go through to see His only begotten Son to go through unimaginable scourging and a death that is too hard to fathom.

Perhaps the most popular and translated verse in the Bible is John 3:16.

We read:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

This verse has been thrown around so often that it has lost its true meaning. We heard it a lot of times that we don’t stop and think about it anymore.

Perhaps, at first, this verse has amazed it. It has affected us deeper than anything else in the world. However, as time passes by, the effect grew weaker and weaker to the point that it doesn’t affect us anymore.

Brethren, I want us to read John 3:16 once again with the understanding that Yahweh loved us so much that He will move heaven and earth, so to speak, just to save us. He is willing to sacrifice everything just to grant us eternal life. He is so desperate to buy us back from Satan that He was willing to pay the most expensive and ultimate price – the life of His Son.

Perhaps, as humans, you can give away your money, smartphone, car, house, and all your belongings. But when it comes to your children, you will never give them up. In a human level, you know the pain of seeing your child being insulted, slapped on the face, tortured, kicked, punched, humiliated, and killed.

How much more would it be to our perfect Father who is love Himself?

Yahweh our Father so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. Let that sink into your hearts and minds brethren. We need to understand the depth of God’s love toward us. Instead of letting this die down in us, we must let it grow stronger and stronger over the years, until it dominates our thoughts, words, and actions.

If you think about it, Yahweh doesn’t have the duty to save us. He is free to ignore us. He is not under obligation to save us from our sins. However, because of His great love toward us, He is willing to give up His only begotten Son!

We need to live this life fully consumed with the thought that God loves us. Yahweh has already made the greatest sacrifice. He did not bring us this far to simply abandon us.

In the first chapter of Titus, Yahweh was also referred to be our Savior as well as Yahshua (or popularly known as Jesus). Both the Father and the Son are our Savior. They both are intimately involved in providing salvation to mankind. Thus, we must not simply focus on Christ, but also to the Father.

I hope this blog gives us a fresh perspective on how invested Yahweh is in our lives. He is not a distant God who is not in touch with our concerns. In fact, He knows our thoughts. He knows our worries. He knows every detail of our lives. He is always with us in every step of the way.

Isn’t it comforting to have our Heavenly Father fully concerned toward us? Isn’t it wonderful to know that the Supreme, Almighty God of this vast universe is our personally Father who would provide all our needs and even grant the desires of our hearts?

With this in mind, may we have a better understanding of God’s love toward us. May we know that we are not alone and that God is always there for us. May we all seek a closer relationship not just to Christ, but also to our Heavenly Father.
