The Day when Ireland Approves the death of its Unborn Children

On May 25, the Republic of Ireland has “made history.” An overwhelming number of Irish people voted “Yes” in a referendum to make abortion legal during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy and up to the 24th week when circumstances call for it.

As I watched the news last night, I was saddened with the victorious chants of the Irish people. Some waved pro-choice flags and shouting “we made history” while others cry in joy because their government now supports the killing of babies.

The main reason people are happy with the overturning of the abortion ban is that women don’t have to travel abroad to murder their children. They don’t have to spend thousands or millions of money. It would be easier and more convenient for them to end a human’s life.

According to statistics, more than 55 million abortions occurred every year and now, Ireland will be adding more to that number. This world has murdered a generation of children. Can you imagine 55 million babies killed every year? That’s more than the population of the State of California!

Frank Pavone once mentioned:

“If we took a moment of silence for each person lost to abortion, we would be silent for over 100 years.”

Now, I don’t believe that. In fact, we will be silent not just over 100 years but FOREVER!

The mainstream media paints the Ireland decision yesterday to be a progress toward a better civilization. Mr. Varadkar, the Irish Prime Minister, doesn’t know what he was talking about when he said:

“We embraced our responsibilities as citizens and as a country. The day Ireland stepped out from under the last of our shadows and into the light. The day we came of age as a country. The day we took our place among the nations of the world.”

What a sobering and sad statement from a country who vows to protect the defenseless and yet, could not protect the voiceless and innocent unborn children.

I get a mixed emotion of sadness, frustration, and anger as I write this blog. I mean, how can people be so callous and heartless?!

The Apostle Paul was right when he wrote II Timothy 3:1-5:

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, BRUTAL, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

We are living in the last days. Things will get worse before they get better. Yes, we live in a chaotic world where even unborn babies aren’t safe anymore.

God will judge the Irish people and those who voted yes, those people who approved of this demonic law. May people have the eyes to see that abortion isn’t the answer.

You can’t right a mistake by committing another mistake.

It never works that way.

As Christians, let us continue to never compromise with our principles and values. While we are outnumbered and this world is ruled by Satan, we can always choose how to react and respond. Let us keep our light shining before men.

Most importantly, let us keep praying, “Thy Kingdom come!”
