How Paul Surprisingly Denied the Trinity Doctrine

Most Christians today hold the Trinity doctrine to be true. However, do you know that Paul didn’t even mention the Trinity doctrine? In fact, he has denied it through his writings. Want to know how? Read on!

The Apostle Paul is known to be the apostle to the gentiles. He is even known to be the recorder of many theological doctrines for the early church. Yet, throughout his writings, you will never find any mention of the Trinity.

Could the Apostle Paul has been blinded to this new truth? Or is the Trinity simply a teaching not rooted in the Bible?

You need to learn the truth.

How Paul Surprisingly Denied the Trinity Doctrine

Do you know that Paul’s writing never gave a hint of the existence of a Trinity God?

What is Trinity?

The Trinity is among the most popular and widely accepted doctrines of mainstream Christianity. For many, you will never be considered as a Christian without accepting the Trinity doctrine. It has served to be a LITMUS PAPER of Christianity.

As popular as this doctrine is, the word “Trinity” is never mentioned in the Bible. The belief that God is made up of three persons coexisting in one substance or being is nowhere found in the Holy Scripture – from Genesis to Revelation.

If Trinity is not found in the Bible, where did it originate? This can be a long topic and I highly recommend you read this article to know its history.

However, just to summarize, the doctrine of Trinity was formed during the Council of Nicaea in the year 325. It was presided by Constantine – a pagan emperor who had little knowledge about Christianity.

3 Ways How Paul Denied the Trinity

If there is one person in the Bible who will teach about Trinity, it should have been Paul. However, this never happened as evidenced by his writings. Here are some of the evidence of Paul not acknowledging the existence of the Triune God.

1. SALUTATIONS IN HIS EPISTLES – throughout the letters of Paul, you will not find a single mention of the Holy Spirit as a separate being. In fact, he only mentioned two, God the Father and Yahshua (Jesus Christ). Here are some examples:

  • To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 1:7).
  • Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 1:3).
  • Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ (II Corinthians 1:2).
  • Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ (Galatians 1:3).
  • Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:2).
  • Please read Philippians 1:2; Colossians 1:2; I Thessalonians 1:1; II Thessalonians 1:2; I Timothy 1:2; II Timothy 1:2; Titus 1:4; and Philemon 1:3.

You can see in these salutations that the Holy Spirit is left out. If Paul recognized that the Holy Spirit is another divine being, then he should have included it in his salutations. Failure in doing so can mean a BIG insult to the Holy Spirit.

2. THE AUDIENCE OF PAUL – the majority of the recipients of Paul’s letters are gentiles. These gentiles have polytheistic background who had formerly worshipped different gods. Sending them letters is a golden opportunity for Paul to teach the Trinity and introduce new converts to this doctrine. However, we don’t find any of those things.

3. I CORINTHIANS 8:6 – This verse tells us, “But to us, there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.” Come to think about it, if Paul really believes in the Trinity, why would he not mention it here? Instead, we consistently see only two beings, God the Father and Jesus Christ.

21 Best Christian Books for Men You Should Read Right Now

The only mention of the Holy Spirit along with God the Father and Jesus Christ is II Corinthians 13:14. It says, “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.”

This does not support the Trinity doctrine. This only means that Christians are bonded and unified by God’s Spirit. We have FELLOWSHIP with God and Jesus through the Holy Spirit, which is their power (Luke 1:35).

Final Words

There is no doubt that Paul and other writers of the Bible did not recognize the Trinity Doctrine. In fact, they have consistently taught about God the Father and Jesus Christ.

This is one of the greatest truths in the Bible and also the most IGNORED! If we are to worship God, it must be done in truth and spirit (John 4:24). Therefore, we must always examine the things we believe in and have God’s word as our ultimate authority.

  1. Hi Joshua, I won’t be able to develop the entire thought here, and I wouldn’t use the blogosphere to try to argue such a topic other than to say: you reference Philippians and Colossians to further prove your “salutations” argument. But reading further into those letters alone will force you to read passages like: Phil 2:6-11, and Col 1:15-20. I will leave it at that. The “doctrine of the Trinity” did not get articulated till Origen in @ 3rd century, but the mystery of God’s communal being has always been the great reality of God’s own existence. Shalom

    • Hi Rusty, Thanks for stopping by and comment. I checked Phil 2:6-11 and Col 1:15-20, but I can’t see how it supports the trinity doctrine. Origen is not inspired by God. Why would God use Origen if He can use any of the apostles to explicitly teach the trinity. Origen is also known to contradict many teachings of Paul and John. That’s why he is never canonized as a saint by the RCC. So why would we believe Origen?

      • Sorry Josh, but I wasn’t trying to enlist the aid of Origen, only to say he was the first to articulate it. Here was my (unsatisfactory) attempt to speak more eloquently to the idea of the Communion of the Triune God. I am quite sure this will not convince you, but then again, I am not very interested in carrying out a blog debate on something so profound: https://moreenigma.wordpress.com/2015/11/01/what-language-shall-i-borrow/

      • Hi Rusty,
I read your blog. You mentioned that the trinity is difficult to understand and incomprehensible. This should not be the case. The God family should not be a mystery for all of us. The trinity is difficult to understand because there’s no scripture to support and explain it. The Bible say, “this is ETERNAL LIFE, that they KNOW you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” (John 17:3). Again no mention of the HS as a persona. God wants us to KNOW him – to understand and comprehend. Let us not base our belief on traditions, but let’s base it on the word of God. The trinity doctrine is unbiblical. We can’t simply explain it because it lacks biblical proof. So whom will you believe? The word of God or the word of men? why not stick to the word of God?

  3. Not one single passage you cite denies the Trinity. Many verses, such as John 14:15 directly affirm the Trinity. Your argument from silence wouldn’t survive undergraduate theology class. What you have done here is eisegesis.

    • I already answered your question regarding John 14:15. (http://becomingchristians.com/2013/10/13/warning-10-popular-christian-practicesbeliefs-that-are-not-rooted-in-the-bible/comment-page-1/#comment-824)

Again, John 14:15 is a matter of translation. It should have not “he”, but “it”. You can read Romans 8:16 and 8:26 where the HS was referred to as it instead of he.

Eisegesis means the interpretation of a passage based on a subjective, non-analytical reading. The word eisegesis literally means “to lead into,” which means the interpreter injects his own ideas into the text, making it mean whatever he wants.

I don’t have to go to theology class where the blind teaches the blind. I don’t use eisegesis here. I use sound logic. If you are Paul who believes in trinity, will you not include the Holy Spirit in your greetings? If not, then you are mocking one of the members of the Family of God. That would be a big insult! However, Paul obviously don’t believe in the trinity and he did not see the need to mentioned it in his greetings.

      • “I don’t have to go to theology class where the blind teaches the blind.”
HUGE Amen. The big lie has conquered the Christian world and Satan is the winner of the gold medal.
Hebrews 10:5 “5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body ||hast thou prepared me:” The Bible clearly teaches God prepared the son a body for Him to come to mankind. The Bible never teaches God came in the body He prepared Himself
Paul, in his letter to the Hebrews, furthermore writes, testifying of JESUS: “And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.”
The mediator a.k.a. comforter wasn’t God the HG, the mediator was the Messiah Himself “all you will ask in my name He shall give to you”. Did the Messiah insult the other God the HG by claiming it is He who is the only way to God ?

    • You know what I find very suspicious ? And very disturbing with this trinity doctrine ? The Messiah repeatedly said when asked to teach about who God is that God was revealed in Him so knowing Him is knowing God. Can someone explain to me with regards to Jesus’s words, why humans can’t comprehend the trinity because God is so complex ? How come in today’s Christianity one has to pass a universal education to understand the Bible and understand who God is ? Did Jesus lie when He said knowing Him is knowing the Father ?
If God is incomprehensible, what is then the original need to study His word ? Just for a show or to make studying the Bible look scholarly and pious ?

      • Jesus Says and Praises the Father in Heaven for REVEALING the truth to little children, and hiding it from those who went to university. Jesus never once says that the babylon teachings of trinity should have been accepted by anyone abiding with the Son and with the Father. (note that the source of the trinity teaching is available quite freely on the internet, and it has nothing to do with The Creator, The Savior, or The Bible.) Of course, anyone blind to God’s Way cannot read nor understand the Bible – they have their own agenda opposed to Him, eh? But for those who can or want to see, look up the origin of the teaching of the trinity. Look for yourself – do not trust any man now nor ever – rather trust the Father in heaven Who Reveals the Truth as He Pleases , for this is His Good Pleasure so to do. (as Jesus Says in the Bible).

      • The Trinity doctrine is a dangerous lie, the Trinity doctrine calls my father a liar because my father claims that he is the one that beget the only begotten son and The Trinity doctrine says that my father sent some other agent namely the holy Spirit, to come up on Mary to beget his son for him. My father and the holy Spirit are one in the same. My father is not a man that he should lie.

    • The Trinity doctrine is not from the beginning, that alone should enlist scrutiny. it was brought in the church by the catholics, and that suggests more scrutiny. When and wherever we find confusion we know that Satan has been at work. Question, if you wanted a son or a daughter would you send some other agent to come up on your wife to beget your children for you? Well why would you think my father would pull a stunt like that question mark my father is Spirit he is also the optimum of creative genius comet he is more than willing and capable of begetting his own children, it was my father himself that come up on Mary when she conceived, my father is not a man that he should lie, when he says he is the father, believe it.here is a sad truth, the Christian community does not understand regeneration, they do not understand how the father is creating a new man with a new nature, it was needful that my father create a new man with a new nature for the old man with the old nature found the things of God to be foolishness, the old man has not nor will he ever be sanctified by god, it is the new man with the new nature begotten of God himself that is sanctified the very moment he is begotten of god, this new man with a new nature is developing within the body of the believer, as the old man is put to death on the daily basis making room for this new man with a new nature begotten of God,.this is why that Jesus is the only way to the father, you will never have a new man being created within you if you reject the sun. When we accept the sun as a redeemer we also received the father in the capacity of the holy spirit, the very same holy spirit that come up on Mary when she conceived a son. Please try to understand, God is Spirit so when you are born of God you are also born of the spirit John 3 whatever is born from Spirit will be Spirit not flesh and blood like Nicodemus. It is the new man with the new nature begotten of God that will be born of God at the seventh trumpet if he keeps himself so the wicked will not touch him first John 5:18, please notice what is written about the born of God, they cannot sin, because when the new man with the new nature be gotten of God becomes born of God he is no longer flesh but spirit and he cannot sin, for all of eternity.those that do not understand regeneration, why that we must accept the sun in order to receive the father so the new man can be begotten of God and eventually be born of God that is why they scratch out those two troubling words from first John 5:18, 1st John 3 verse 9 cannot sin,and they do this after my father explained to them in very easy to understand words why the born of God cannot sin, read it carefully first John 3:9 because he gives us a seed at the seventh trumpet when we are born of God, first Corinthians 15 verse 38 there is my father giving that seed that was only mentioned in 1st John 3 verse 9.John 3 is not about baptism or conversion it’s about Nicodemus being in the wrong body.those that believe John 3 is about baptism and you are born again when you’re baptized are the very same people that corrupt my father’s words by scratching them out from first John 5:18 and 1st John 3:9., The misinterpretation of John 3 has caused major damage to my father’s words. Thank you

    • Jesus said him self when he leaves the holy sprit with you as he was rising to heaven . Did not A loud voice of GOD and a dove descend from the cloud after John The Baptist. Baptised Jesus. Was that not God sending down the holy sprit.. ?

    • The Trinity doctrine calls the father a liar, the trinity says that the father sent some other agent to come up on Mary to beget his son for him, that other agent being, the holy Spirit, that would make the holy Spirit the father of the only begotten son and that would be calling the father a liar, when you understand that the father is spirit and he is also holy, holy Spirit come and then you don’t have that problem because it is a father himself that comes up on Mary when she conceives the only begotten son, the father is not a man that he should lie, when the father says that it was he that he get the only begotten son you probably should just believe it because the father does not lie. The Trinity doctrine actually come out of babylon, the Babylonians had a trinity God. There’s a lot of things that come out of Babylon at the Christian community practices such as Christmas and easter, even their Christian religion come out of babylon, it was those men that crept in secretly bringing damnable heresies found in the book of jude, they were Babylonians and they hijacked the Jesus movement which wasn’t a religion of any kind, Jesus didn’t teach religion any most certainly did not start a Christian religion. These Babylonians found in the book of Jude are the ones that hijacked the Jesus moment and transform it into their own Babylonian religion, they knew they were going to need some big muscle to accomplish this great deception so they invented, they created and founded the Catholic church, this is why the Catholic religion looks exactly like the Babylonian religion they just put all of their characters they need different suit and called him by a new name, they took their pagan yull log and transformed it into Christ mass and then christmas, they took their pagan fertility rabbit and transform it into the Easter bunny, it’s the same rabbit they just put it in a different suit, they both keep Sunday because they worship the sun them, they both celebrate winter and spring equinox due to the position of the sun, the Babylonian with their fertility rabbit the Christians but they’re Easter bunny, the Babylonians have a trinity God by necessity that Catholic church has a trinity God because it’s the same Babylonian religion they just put it in a different suit and called it christianity, then they Catholic Church gave birth to a bunch of prostitute daughters that teach the same Babylonian confusion, babel, Baptist Protestant Jehovah witness Mormon Evangelical seventh-day Adventist Pentecostal on and on and on and they all went into covenant with spiritual Babylon to avoid paying some taxes through a 501c3 covenant, Jesus paid the tax and he instructed us to pay the tax but the Christians don’t want to pay the tax so they going to covenant with the very world that the word of God instructs his people to separate themselves from and they do it for the love of money through a 501c3 covenant.now these boys from Babylon are very very knowledgeable men and they come by their knowledge from other realms, principalities of darkness. Eventually they took over the whole world, they set up the world banking system, they set up all of these institutions that have popped up in Europe in the last 40 years, cdc, who, European union, w e f etc for the sole purpose of ushering in a one world totalitarian government and a one world Babylonian revision where everyone keeps Sunday like they did in babylon, they run the US government and all governments that use the world banking system, they run Hollywood including the music industry, they run big tech, big pharma they run your hospital schools and your churches because you went into covenant with them to a 501c3 covenant, eventually the pope will bring all world religions under the umbrella of Christianity in the world will be keeping sunday, we went full cycle from Babylon to babylon, come out of her my people, he’s talking about the Catholic Church aka the w**** of Babylon the one that practices sexual perversion by molesting little boys and little girls and they also forbid marriage, two of the many heresies that these men brought in found in the book of jude, he’s also talking about all of her prostitute daughters, Baptist Protestant Jehovah witness etc, he’s talking about Christianity this man-made religion that is obviously pattern after the Babylonian religion but people don’t want to look at it, they have been bewitched, they have been deceived, that old serpent the devil has deceived the whole world and to accepting this man-made religion called Christianity over and relationship with their heavenly father, their maker. He’s also talking about that 501c3 covenant because you cannot go into covenant with this corrupt world for any reason, not for love, not for life and most certainly not to avoid paying some taxes yet here they are in covenant with this world over tax money, the truth will set us free but we have to accept the truth or we will remain in our confusion and in our bonds bonds of religion, those that will not come out of her will drink of her cup and it is an extremely unpleasant cup.

    • The Trinity is difficult to understand because it’s a lie, there is one God and one mediator between man and god, the man Jesus Christ, Jesus is a man God is not a man, the Trinity calls my father a liar because my father claims that it was himself that we get the only begotten son yet it was the holy Spirit to come up on Mary when she conceived, when you understand that the father is holy and he is also spirit, holy spirit, now you don’t have that problem of calling the father a liar because you can see it was the father himself that come up on Mary when she canceived, the father did not send some other agent, the holy spirit, to come up on Mary to be get his son for him. It’s by that very same holy spirit that the new man with the new nature is begotten of god, that’s how the new man comes by his new nature, he is literally, supernaturally, spiritually begotten of God himself, the very minute that you receive the Father’s son you are reconciled back to the father and the father be gets a new man with a new nature within the believer, the new man was needful for the old man with the fallen nature finds the things of God to be foolishness therefore he cannot be sanctified nor can he be salvaged, the father in his infinite wisdom he gets a new man with a new nature you will find this new man begotten of God in first John 5:18 if you use a King James Bible however if you use the new King James Bible or these modern Bibles you will notice they have removed begotten of God from first John 5:18 and they also have tampered with the identifier that identifies those who have been born of god, whoever is born of God (cannot sin ) they change this identifier to read something quite contrary, such as, whoever is born of God does not practice sin. God says that whoever is born of God cannot sin and he even explains why in first John 3:9, he will give us a seed and that seed will remain in us and we (cannot sin) once we are born of God, you will find the seed that is mentioned in 1st John 3 verse 9 and given in first Corinthians 15:38, it is he incorruptible seed and it makes us incorruptible in verse 42 and that means that we ( cannot sin )it has nothing to do with (practicing sin) this is one of God’s absolutes, whoever is born of God absolutely cannot sin, that’s what Jesus is talking about when he says come I will give you rest, he’s talking about rest from all of eternity from committing sin, at the last of seven trumpets first Corinthians 15 the begotten of God will be born of God, born again, born of the spirit because God is Spirit, born from the dead because that’s when it takes place, you can see that in first Corinthians 15, this is the Father’s method to purge the fallen nature out of man, the father begets a new man and at the seventh trumpet this new man begotten a God will be born of God and he will be spirited not flesh and blood like Nicodemus but Spirit like Elijah and Moses on the Mount of transfiguration, leaving the old man with the father nature in the grave thus purging the fallen nature out of man, this is the mystery of God, behold I show you a mystery we shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed, born again, born of god, born of the spirit, born from the dead and we will be made quick and spirits quickened spirits opposed to living souls, it’s the same mystery found in Revelation 10:7. The power that we have been given to become the sons and daughters of the living God is the father himself giving of himself be getting this new man with a new nature just like when a husband comes up on his wife and gives up himself, whatever his wife conceives has been given the power from the husband to become a son or a daughter of the husband that gave of himself so the wife could conceive a son or a daughter, you have to accept the Father’s son in order to be reconciled back to the father so the father can be get this new man with a new nature within the believer, the new man is begotten of God by the very same holy Spirit to come up on Mary, the father come up on Mary when she conceived. But the Trinity calls my father a liar, the Trinity says my father sent some other agent, the holy spirit, to come up on Mary to be get this son for him, certainly you can see the problem with this once it’s pointed out properly. But maybe not because in the latter days men are not interested in sound doctrine, they much rather win an argument then to be set free.

  5. THE WRITER OF THIS POST MUST GET READY TO BEAR PERSECUTION FOR SPEAKING THE TRUTH. TRUTH IS HARDLY ACCEPTED!

      • Josh,
Just wanted to write a quick rebuttal in love to what youve stated here. Shamoun and Anthony Rogers (who will be debating restoration fellowship in 10 days) who write for the answeringislamblog.wordpress has extensive proof of Pauline Trinitarianism but as for your 3 points

        1. Using doxologies and openers as doctrinal statements is not sound because by your standard that means Paul was a Binitarian.
And Paul contradicted John who included the Spirit in Revelation 1.3-5 and he also contradicted himself because he includes the Spirit in 2Cor 13.14
So by your standard this proves he was a binitarian for a while, then he became a trinitarian as he wrote corinthians and then changed his mind back to binitarianism for his other letters…

        2. This is a strawman of saying Trinitarianism is Tritheism
        Nevertheless –
1Corinthians 2:10-11 “The Holy Spirit searches all things, including the deep things of God”
        – thus Deifying the Holy Spirit because the Spirit must be omniscient to know all things and to search the unsearchable God

        3. If 1Cor 8.6 proves that Jesus is NOT God, then it also proves that the Father is NOT Lord.
This verse speaks about God creating all things through his Son. Which necessitates they are co-eternal. The Holy Spirit is included in the OT as Creator – Job 33.4 “The Spirit of God made me”
Psalm 104.30 “When you send your Spirit [the beasts of the field] are created”
The Holy Spirit therefore is the 3rd Person, as He can search (know things). He cannot be an impersonal power or some kind of force as He can also speak (Acts 13.2) and He has feelings – “They rebelled and grieved Yahweh’s Holy Spirit” (Isaiah 63.10)

Your intro doesnt make sense because the Trinity was invented long before Nicea –
Deuteronomy 6.4 “YHWH, Elohuino, YHWH, echad” = “God, God, God, 1”
Now read the B.C Jewish Zohar commentary by Raya Mehemna 43b – “These three are one. The threefold Divine Manifestations which yet form one unity”

        Thanks,
        Paakofi

      • Hi Paakofi,

I appreciate your reply. I know all of us simply wanted the truth.

However, I would like to admonish you to research deeply about the history of Trinity. You will soon see that it has never been taught in the OT and NT. Even the first century church didn’t teach it.

It was an invention rooted in paganism. I hope you do an honest study on this. Just let go of bias and preconceived ideas. As you know, it is more difficult to unlearn than learn truths.

Now regarding your rebuttal, please note that the Holy Spirit is the power of God. Thus, it is not difficult to see why it is being personified in the Scripture.

However, that’s not a proof of itself. We see examples of this in our modern times. Personification of inanimate objects are common.

Just case in point. Trinity teaches that the Father, Son, and HS are co-equal. Yet, we see a lot of scripture where it says the Father is supreme. Not only that, we read that the Son is praying to the Father. It won’t makes sense if He is the Father at the same time.

Now, this is a huge topic and again. Here’s something you might want to read: https://www.ucg.org/bible-study-tools/booklets/is-god-a-trinity

Again, Paakofi, thanks for your comment. May God lead us all to the Truth.

        Regards,
        Joshua

      • Christ said ” I and my father are ONE.. God the Father is invisible Spirit and the Logos[WORD] part of the Godhead that come forth from God sent to Earth manifested in human flesh as begotten Son of God is God. his humanname is JESUS. He was conceived through the power of Holy Spirit but Jesus didn’t say the Holy Spirit is his Father so the Holy Spirit that at work during Jesus incarnation, his human life on earth, his ministry and his resurrection is the Spirit of God the Father that dwells in Jesus Christ. The WORD[logos] is the spoken word of God that works during creation sent to Earth manifested in human flesh. He didn’t say ” I , my Father and Holy Spirit are ONE

      • Hi Reno!

The statement “I and Father are one” is a statement that testifies that unity of mind of God the Father and Christ. It doesn’t mean that they are numerical one.

Take for example the union of a man and woman in marriage. The Bible tells that they will become one in marriage. Does that mean that the man and woman are the same being? Of course not!

Let’s stop believing this unbiblical doctrine called trinity. You can’t prove it through the Bible. It’s a satanic deception that has infiltrated so-called christian churches today.

      • There are several things wrong with the Trinity doctrine, first it is not from the beginning it come into the church around the third century and it was brought into the church by a Catholic, second the Trinity doctrine suggests that my father sent some other agent to come up on Mary to beget his son for him, the holy Spirit and the father are one in the same, it was the father himself that come up on Mary when she conceived, it is by that very same holy spirit that the new man is begotten of God, 1st John 5:18, 1st John 5:1 whoever is begotten of the same father are brothers and we should love our brothers, St John 17:11 and 21 the holy spirit is not mentioned yet Jesus uses the word one so we do know that the God head is complete in these two passages, Jesus does not use the word one in the context of a numerical value but in the context of perfect unity, it would not be perfect unity if one of the members was missing.

  6. Our Creator and Heavenly Father is not the author of confusion and what could possibly be more confusing than the Trinity ?
There is no topic under the sun, much less in the Bible – from Genesis to Revelation, that is more confusing than the Trinity.
I’m thankful that Yeshua had a rare moment when he actually agreed with a Torah Scholar (Mark 12:28-34) regarding the Greatest Commandment, and Yeshua informed him that he “was not far from the Kingdom of God,” but only after they had quoted the Shema to each other.
I agree with Yeshua and the scholar, and I sincerely hope I’m not far from the Kingdom of God.
    JB

  7. the Trinity Doctrine was not from the beginning. It’s a doctrine of men. Early Church Father tertullian. If the Holy Spirit was a separate being, Jesus would call the Holy Spirit his father, what was a holy spirit that come up on Mary when she conceived him. This is the very same holy spirit that be gets us when we receive Christ. The confusion regarding the trinity has its roots in man’s attempt two Define one God in a numerical value. One God is not referring to a quantity a number it is referring to a quality. One God, one truth, one mind, one body, one spirit. Whole, complete indivisible and self-sustaining. Here are two scriptures where Jesus himself is describing the Oneness of God and you will notice the holy spirit is not mentioned for it would be redundant. We know this description is complete because Jesus uses the word one and the word us. St John 17 verses 11 and 21 Holy Father keep to your own man those who you have given me that they( may be one as we are) verse 21 that they (all may be one) as you father are in me and I in you that they also( may be one in US.) Now this is not nearly as confusing as one plus one plus one equals one

  8. We read that Jesus emptied Himself and took the for? Of a man, born of a woman. Lived and died as a man. Was raised as a man ad we are told He is still he man Jesus Christ. There is no mention f him returning to his former state.

    • There are a lot of verses which show us that Yahshua or Jesus, as He is popularly, known is already in heaven.
These are some of the verses:

      ACTS 7:55–56; ROMANS 8:34; EPHESIANS 1:20; COLOSSIANS 3:1; HEBREWS 1:3; HEBREWS 8:1.

    • When Jesus was born again from the dead he was no longer a living soul but a quicken spirit. When God breathed life into man he become a living soul, I do believe there is a difference, considering the full counsel of God Jesus may not qualifie as a man in a strict context, but a quicken spirit, as will all those that were begotten of God and did keep themselves so the wicked one will not touch them 1st John 5:18 they will be born of God at the 7th trumpet first Corinthians 15:35 through 50 and they will no longer be a living soul AKA man, but a quicken spirit.

      • Quick, like when you trim a horse’s hooves down to the quick, that’s the living tissue, so Jesus was made a living spirit not a living soul, they are two different things, the soul is the life force for the carnal body, it’s that force that makes you grasp for one more breath of air, even if you tried to commit suicide by holding your breath, you could not do it, the soul will not allow it, not that the soul has an intellect, a mind or a motivation. I hope this is helpful.

  9. Actually the Trinity doctrine was coming in long before Constantine, it was the son of a Roman Centurian (Tertullian) that was a main player in bringing that in. My book has a section on the Trinity, and here is a clip from that Chapter: Some may ask where this word “Trinity” originated, since it is not in the Old Testament, the Septuagint, or the New Covenant scriptures.
It’s historically clear that three different gods made up the Roman triad, with Jupiter as the supreme god of the Roman pantheon alongside Juno and Minerva. On Rome’s Capitoline Hill stood an elaborate temple where their deities (called the “Capitoline Triad”) were worshipped. Earlier in Roman history, a previous version of this Triad—commonly called the “Archaic Triad”—was made up of Jupiter, Mars, and Quirinus.
The Greek he trias, which means “the triad,” was first used in a Christian sense by Theophilus, the bishop of Antioch (ca. 169–ca. 183) to refer to God, God’s logos, and God’s Sophia. It is hard to discern Theophilus’s exact meaning; some say he was referring to the Holy Spirit with Sophia and to Christ with the logos. According to McClintock and Strong, Theophilus “was educated a heathen, and afterwards converted to Christianity …. Having been converted from heathenism by the study of the Scriptures, he wrote an apology for the Christian faith, addressed in the form of a letter to his friend Autolycus.”
It was in this letter to Autolycus (Apology to Autolycus 2:15) that we have the first Christian usage of the Greek term for “the triad” in connection with God. But it was third-century church writer Tertullian who is credited with coining the term trinitas—a Latinization of the Greek he trias—which later became “Trinity” in English. Born to a Roman centurion in Carthage, Tertullian later converted to Christianity in Rome and is often called the father of Latin Christianity.
As for the Jewish believers, they never used the Greek term he trias in the scriptures, nor did they portray God as a triad, for they knew God was one.
After Rome destroyed the Jewish Temple (AD 70) and then slaughtered Bar Kochba who led the Jewish revolt against Rome (AD 135), the Roman emperor Hadrian forbade the Jews to enter Jerusalem altogether. He not only renamed Jerusalem “Aelia Capitolina” in honor of the Jupiter temple on Rome’s Capitoline Hill, but he also subsequently erected another temple to Jupiter on the very site where the Jewish Temple had once stood, blatantly showing that the Roman God (and Triad of Gods) was now in control.
While some readers may not like the history given here, it’s important nonetheless to examine the origins of our English word “Trinity” and how this was yet another concept that changed over time.

    • Yes it was a Catholic that brought the Trinity doctrine into their church, not the Church of God, two totally different things, Jesus did not have a religion, he did not teach, preach, follow or start a religion, Jesus taught family, relationship, family morals, honor your father and your mother love your brother etc, when Babylon fell the religious hierarchy come out and they hijacked the Jesus movement transforming it into a religion opposed to relationship, the Babylonians were sun worshipers so they kept the first day of the week, Christmas and easter, it was these men that snuck in unaware bringing in damnable heresies, forbidding marriage restrictions on meat etc then come the reformers who broke off the Catholic Church Protestant and Baptist but they maintained that old Babylonian dna, keeping the first day of the week etc then those denominations splintered until today we have a multitude of very confused Christian denominations all teaching a different truth, a different word, a different interpretation of scripture, it is confusion upon confusion, once you understand that Jesus did not start a religion, the Catholic Church invented the Christian religion, Christianity is the Babylonian mystery religion. Religion gets in the way of the relationship because people pledge their allegiance to their denomination and their denominational doctrine opposed to the truth. That old serpent the devil has deceived the whole world into accepting the Christian religion, give it time, there will be a one world government and a one world religion and that religion will be Christianity and they will keep the first day of the week, the world economy will shut down every Sunday you will not be able to buy nor sell.

  10. i believe in yahweh the Father and Yahshua the Son and the Holy Spirit as Gods power which He uses in many different ways to teach us and draw us to Him.I am not a learned man or a scholar at all i am just a simple man struggling to be led by the example Yahshua left with us.recently a coworker of mine said i am blaspheming the Holy Spirit and that i am going to hell because i dont believe in the trinity. he left me with a number of scriptures to prove his doctrine, only 2 stuck out that made me question my disbelief in the trinity. 1 Corinthians 12:11 and John 14:26 where the Holy Spirit is referred to as He.i would appreciate any insight anyone has on these 2 scriptures or any other scriptures that refer to the Holy Spirit as He or Him.thank you very much.

    • Hi Rick!

I understand how these verses could cause confusion. Let me share with you the explanation found on this page: https://www.ucg.org/bible-study-tools/booklets/is-god-a-trinity/why-the-holy-spirit-is-sometimes-incorrectly-referred-to-as-he-and-him

Greek, like the Romance languages deriving from Latin (Spanish, French, Italian, etc.), assigns a specific gender for every noun. Every object, animate or inanimate, is designated as either masculine, feminine or neuter. The gender is often unrelated to whether the item is indeed masculine or feminine.

For example, in French the word livre, meaning “book,” is of the masculine gender and is referred to by a pronoun equivalent to the English “he” or “him.” And in Spanish, mesa, or “table,” is in the feminine. Clearly, although these nouns have gender, their gender does not refer to actually being male or female. In the English language, in contrast, most nouns that do not refer to objects that are male or female are referred to in the neuter sense, with the pronoun “it.”

We might note that in the Hebrew language, in which the Old Testament was written, the word translated “spirit,” ruach, is referred to with feminine pronouns. But the Holy Spirit clearly is not female or a woman.

In Greek, both masculine and neuter words are used to refer to the Holy Spirit. The Greek word translated “Counselor,” “Helper,” “Comforter” and “Advocate” in John chapters 14 to 16 is parakletos , a masculine word in Greek and thus referred to in these chapters by Greek pronouns equivalent to the English “he,” “him,” “his,” “himself,” “who” and “whom.”

Because of the masculine gender of parakletos, these pronouns are grammatically correct in Greek. But to translate these into English as “he,” “him,” etc., is grammatically incorrect.

For example, you would never translate a particular French sentence into English as “I’m looking for my book so I can read him.” While this grammatical construction makes sense in the French language, it is wrong in English. In the same way, to suppose on this basis that the Holy Spirit is a person to be referred to as “he” or “him” is incorrect.

Only if the parakletos or helper were known to be a person could the use of a gender-inflected pronoun justifiably be used in English. And the term parakletos certainly can refer to a person—as it refers to Jesus Christ in 1 John 2:1. Yet the Holy Spirit is nowhere designated with personhood. So personal pronouns should not be substituted for it.

Furthermore, there is absolutely no theological or biblical justification for referring to the term “Holy Spirit” with masculine pronouns, even in Greek. The Greek word pneuma, translated “spirit” (but also translated “wind” and “breath” in the New Testament) is a grammatically neuter word. So, in the Greek language, pronouns equivalent to the English “it,” “its,” “itself,” “which” or “that” are properly used in referring to this word translated into English as “spirit.”

Yet when the King James or Authorized Version was produced (early in the 1600s), the doctrine of the Trinity had already been accepted for more than 1,000 years. So naturally the translators of that version, influenced by that belief, usually chose personal rather than neutral pronouns when referring to the Holy Spirit in English (see, for example, John 16:13-14; Romans 8:26).

However, this wasn’t always the case. Notice that in some passages in the King James Version the translators did use the proper neuter pronouns. For example, Romans 8:16 says, “The Spirit itself [not himself ] beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.” Similarly, Romans 8:26 says “the Spirit itself [again, not himself ] maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” In these cases the translators correctly used neuter pronouns because the Greek word pneuma, translated “Spirit,” is neuter in gender.

Another example is Matthew 10:20, where Jesus says: “For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which [not who ] speaketh in you.” Another is 1 Peter 1:11, which refers to “the Spirit of Christ which [again, not who ] was in them.” The King James Version translators did use the proper neuter pronouns in these verses.

Regrettably, later English translators of the Bible have gone further than the King James translators in referring to the Holy Spirit with masculine rather than neuter pronouns. Thus the Holy Spirit is almost always referred to as “he” or “him” in the more modern versions. This reflects not linguistic accuracy, but the doctrinal bias or incorrect assumptions of Bible translators who wrongly believe the Holy Spirit is a person.

  11. hey there. I’m not in a church. here the last few months I’m finding the Trinitarian doctrine harder and harder to believe. most churches believe it but there are more passages that don’t support it than that do. recently I mentioned this to my brother over the phone and he cut loose about the trinity and how I’m worshipping a different god if I don’t see support 4 the trinity.

  12. O.K. I’m pretty sure the trinity is made up, however it appears the holy spirit is an entity, the spirit of truth, and not just ” the power of God”. so where is there a church that doesn’t acknowledge a trinity but still believes the holy spirit is an individual that teaches us, john 14:26 ? I’m all alone here

    • Hi Richard! John 14:26 uses the wrong pronoun. Instead of “it”, it uses “he” to refer to the Holy Spirit. Because of the trinity influence, the translators deliberately used “he” instead of “it”.

I do hope you find a church or group that shares your belief. However, feel free to reach out to us if you need people to fellowship with. 🙂

  13. Now on the issue of the Holy Spirit, I think we are either confusing everyone or missing the issue here. I believe there are two distinct issues here. First is related to the translation of references to the Holy Spirit as HE or IT. When one looks at the original greek, it is clear that both english translations are incomplete as it’s use in the greek language is a grammatically neuter word. For whatever reason the early fathers translated it into ‘he’ is irrelevant, just as much as someone is argueing ‘it’ over ‘he’ to justify a particular doctrine. So when we find a grammatically closer word in english to refer to neuter then we can settle this HE or IT argument. Second, is a neuter reference imply ‘lack of a persona’ that of an innate object? NO, not even in biology. That brings me to question – is God male or female..then if you say neither, then one can conclude that God is not a person! and now we start getting entangled in our own delusions!! There are many references to the Holy Spirt speaking, feeling, etc which points to the fact the the Holy Spirit shares many attributes attributed to a person. So, as far I am concerned the Holy Spirit is God and is a person.

    • Hi Sealevelrise,

The reason why the translators chose “he” is because of the trinitarian influence that was gaining widespread acceptance during their time. Since they couldn’t find a direct passage about the Holy Spirit as a persona, they were desperate to concoct one.

If trinity is such a great and important doctrine, why didn’t the Bible explicitly show us a lot of proofs?

We must first start with clear scripture to establish biblical facts. As what this blog mentioned, if the HS is a person, then why didn’t Paul acknowledge it?

There are also a lot of time when the HS was likened to things. May I know which verse you are referring to when you mentioned that there are also atrributes attributed to the HS?

Thanks and may God help us understand His word.

  14. Hello Joshua!
Matthew 12:30-32 ….Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.” Similar quotes in Mark 3:28-30 and Luke 12:8-10. Appears that Jesus is referring to a Divine Entity. Is this Divine Entity a separate Being or a reference to God Himself? Any Thoughts ?

    • Hi Mark!

      Thanks for your sincere question.

Let me quote a portion of this blog written by our pastor: http://www.biblicaltruths.com/what-is-the-unpardonable-sin/

How is it that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit can NEVER be forgiven? Here is WHY and HOW it happens:

God uses the Holy Spirit to convict us of our sins — especially those who have truly received the Holy Spirit of God and who have already experienced, and are presently experiencing, the benefits described in Hebrews 6:4-5.

If we grieve the Holy Spirit by blaspheming it (through our negative, callous, disdainful, and rebellious attitude expressed in our thoughts, words, conduct, or lifestyle), it will eventually be quenched — it departs from us.

When that happens, we no longer feel any compulsion [the work of our conscience] to repent of sin, since there’s no Holy Spirit that convicts us of sin anymore. Our seared conscience feels happy and freely “liberated” regardless of what we do — even when in clear violation of God’s laws and principles. We actually don’t care anymore, even when reminded about it. We might even curse God and His laws!

Since we aren’t bothered and don’t even care to repent, all of our sins REMAIN unforgiven or “unpardoned.” That is now tantamount to the “unpardonable sin” — NOT because God is not able to forgive, but because the person does not care about the need to be forgiven.

If you are very much concerned that you might have committed the “unpardonable sin,” I suspect that you have not, simply because you still have the desire to repent.

      • Hi Joshua!

My sincere thanks to you and your pastor for sharing this with me! It is clear I have much to learn!

        Mark

  15. God gave the gift of holy spirit (Roman’s 10:9,10) by grace you are saved not by works and someone is saying God is and Indian giver…he is not…I’m not going to bother to elaborate (I definately could>>Biblically) is God a man that he should lie…you are responsible for your gift…not God….take care of it…you can use it..or let it lay dormant ..most Christians let it lay dormant…you by your freedom of will…operate God’s gift of holy spirit or you do not…things equal to the same thing are equal to each other…Acts 2:…..Romans 10:9,10 and other passages equal the reception of God’s gift of holy spirit…you do not lose the gift…God does not take it away from you…it is not dependent on how much you work…it is unmerited or unearned ….if you could lose it…you might start a …here today …gone tomorrow effect…pretty soon you wouldn’t know when you were safe or when you struck out….or if you were playing baseball I suppose you could always play the position of…left out

  16. Corinthians 15:22-25 English Standard Version (ESV)

22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. 24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

  17. Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:19-20).
In this quote He is listing three separate entities and moreover it seems like He is giving equal stature to all three by the language used. This would be used by proponents of the Trinity doctrine who teach three (equal) persons in one entity.

    • Thanks for this Mark.

Here’s the shocking truth, Mark. Matthew 28:19-20 was secretly tampered long ago. Many historians attest to this fact.

Are you not surprised to see that this baptismal formula is nowhere mentioned in the Bible? It was only added here in Matthew 28? If you read ask, Paul would only say be baptized in the name of the Yahshua.

This is a huge topic and thus, I highly recommend you read this article: http://www.biblicaltruths.com/12-reasons-why-the-holy-spirit-is-not-a-person-part-3/

It explains in detail how Matthew 28 was tampered with by trinitarian proponents.

  18. Question, 1 John 3:9 here the father goes on to explain why the born of God and only the born of god (cannot sin,), this excludes the begotten of God who received a warning, 1st John 5:18, my father explains why the born of God (cannot sin) because he gives them a seed when they are born of god, that is why. Seems relatively simple to understand, the begotten of God did not receive a seed the begotten of God received a warning to keep themselves. So why is it that people scratch out my father’s words and write in their own words, whoever is born of God does not ( practice sin) this completely changes the spirit of first John 5:18 and 1st John 3:9 from an absolute to a probability. Before you respond or comment on this please look at the seed that my father is giving in first Corinthians 15 verse 38 and you will notice by verse 42 we will be made incorruptible, that means we cannot absolutely cannot sin, for all of eternity after we receive that seed, and that is why death is done away with immediately after being born of God. Now when John 3 Jesus conversation with Nicodemus is rightly divided we understand that Nicodemus was in the wrong body, thisJohn 3 is not about baptism or conversion, you are not born again when you’re baptized, you’re born again, at the seventh trumpet, also referred to as being born from above because that’s where the new glorified body comes from AKA born of the spirit because they were first begotten of a spiritual God via the holy Spirit the same holy spirit that come up on Mary when she can see the sun, born of God because God is Spirit and according to John 3 if you are born from Spirit you will be spirit not flesh and blood. The misinterpretation of John 3 is why people scratch out my father’s words way over in 1st John 5:18, 1st John 3:9, a little leaven leavens the whole lump over time.John 3 is about real literal births that produced two different types of literal bodies a natural body for here on the earth and a spiritual body for the kingdom and Nicodemus was in the wrong body.

  19. None of the Aposgtles denied the teachings of the trinity. They never heard of it, never mentioned it, and never taught it. It was a delusion that came later, after the wolves had gotten control of the assemblies as the apostles had warned, and came out of Babylong. (easy to look up on internet, etc – the origin of the trinity has been published many , many , many times)

    • Apostles confirm the Trinity – Isaiah 6:1 “Isaiah saw the Lord sitting on the throne and his glory filled the temple” John 12:39-41 “Isaiah said these things when he saw the glory of Jesus and spoke about him”
Mark 1:1,3 “the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God AS IT IS WRITTEN ‘Yahweh will come to his temple'”

Old Testament teaches it – Genesis 1.26 “and God said let us make man in our image”
Psalm 104:30 “When you send out your Spirit the beasts of the field are created”
Isaiah 63:9-11 which mentions the 3 Persons of the Trinity

The delusion of unitarianism was invented by socinius few hundred years ago long after apostles

      • Hi Juubito, I know you’re really passionate about the trinity. I know it’s difficult to unlearn things you have learned and believed for many years. However, I still hope God will open your eyes to the truth. I don’t want to argue or debate here in the comment section because I know it will just be fruitless.

However, if ever you really are interested to know the truth, or just want to see the other side of the argument, please request a free copy of this booklet about the trinity. After that, you can better decide whether your belief is true or not.

        https://www.ucg.org/bible-study-tools/booklets/is-god-a-trinity

        May God’s truth reign.

      • Ive read it multiple times
The verses quoted absolutely do not deny the Trinity

Jude 1.3 says to contend for the faith, acts 17 paul reasoned with sinners so dont expect to be posting comments railing against Jesus and not have someone try to steer you on to the correct path

      • In the Old Testement the Bible called the Ho,y Spirit by the Spirit of the Lord which means is not God but prceed from Hod.ghe issue of Jesus is that in the old tester entity is the promise of God.in the matter of Adam to defeat a sin.Isaiah 9:6 said he shall be called mighty God everlasting father because of he is the Word of God or God voice living inside of God but that Word that voice came and dwell in the flesh there There is only one God and he is the father

      • God the Father or Yahweh the Most High (El Elyon) and Yahshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) are both Gods and they are separate Beings. The Holy Spirit is their power.

  20. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. ~ 1 John 5:7

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ~ John 1:1

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us . . . ~ John 1:14

    • Hi Doug,

Thanks for bringing I John 5:7.

It is actually a desperate move of trinitarians to add a verse in the Bible. They were so confused why there’s no clear statement in the Bible about trinity that they have to manufacture one and that’s why we have I John 5:7.

It has been a proven fact that this verse is a blatant error. Modern bible translations have already removed it.

John 1:1 and John 1:14 don’t prove trinity.

      Regards,
      Joshua

      • Desperate? Confused? Manufactured? Proven as a blatant error? Quite pathetic. You are convinced you are right. You will cling to that no matter what. That’s your choice. Enjoy your eternity. I’m done with you.

  21. This is 100% true. Thank you. The issue is so much history has been covered up from the powers that be. All roads lead to rome. When they could not extinguish people believing in the Messiah, they adopted Christianity into their pagan trinity structure of 3 Gods in the 3rd century. Rome is actually satanic, the jesuit order/black pope controls the highest ranks of freemasonry and other secret societies who are really running this world. The biggest deception from rome is not only the trinity, but mother goddess worship. All of this can be found in Eric Phelps book called Vatican Assassins. It’s 1800 pages and can be downloaded for free on Archive.org.

    • The ‘trinity’ is NOT…”the Godhead.” One of these terms is truth and is scriptural and the other is not truth and is not scriptural, but rather is “church” tradition. One of them reveals truth, the other reveals the gullibility of religious man and man’s inclination to believe men rather than God. Many millions are fully given over to the clergy/laity construct of churchianity, with its traditions of men, and will only continue to show themselves as ones who…”make flesh their arm,” whose heart[s] have departed from the Lord (Jer. 17: 5), and ones for whom “correction is grievous………………..” (Prov. 15: 10).

  22. We have to go back to the angel Gabriel. When he visted Mary. And told her how she would have a baby knowing no man. He said the Holy Spirit would over shadow her. So Jesus’s father was the Holy Spirit. Paul ,and the other Disciples had the Revelation of the God Head. They knew when Jesus was referring to the Father. He was talking about the Holy Spirit. So is there two Gods ? No. I CORINTHIANS 8:6 – This verse tells us, “But to us, there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, John 1:10
    King James Version
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. Notice they stop calling Jesus Lord, But LORD. When you see LORD in Hebrew it translates to YHWH. Jesus open the understanding of the Scriptures to his disciples Luke 24:45-48. 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46 and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, 47 and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. John 20:24-28
    King James Version
24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. If you read the history of Tertullian you find he did not hold to the teaching of the Apostle Paul. But developed his own teachings. During the Dark Ages. If you did not accept the Trinity Doctrine. You were tortured , and if you did not conform. You were killed. As Jesus taught. They will kill you thinking they are doing God a service. https://www.ucg.org/bible-study-tools/booklets/is-god-a-trinity/the-surprising-origins-of-the-trinity-doctrine

  23. You will either believe in it or you will not, is it part of salvation to believe in the trinity or is it just babble and of no importance one way or the other?
Christ said we must worship in spirit AND truth, so looks like we have to study scripture and come to a conclusion and stick with it.

  24. 2 Corinthains 11:3 Paul speaks on the simplicity in Christ. My Father used 2 Corinthains 11:4 and Jn 24:4, and others to bring me out of organized religion after many years in. I find it very pertinent in 2 Cor 11:4 Paul would mention 3 in his warning of another Jesus, gospel, spirit. Lucifer got it down pat to look just like the Lamb, horns like a Lamb spoke like a dragon Rev 13:11. When we don’t understand vernacular we base everything in our Western world understanding the word of God was not written that way. Several times the Bible uses he, her, her doesn’t always mean a woman literally. At the end of the day here’s truth The Trinity god is the Christmas god Tammuz you can read about him in Eze 8 in the meantime he masquerades as Yahshua during this time of year Bible says prove all things 1 Thess 5:21-23. Easter was already happening before Passover, sunrise service is of the sun god Ra, Tammuz, as is Easter the women were weeping for Tammuz others facing the sun to worship Eze 8. While it was yet dark Mary went to the tomb Jesus was gone see you can’t get 3 days 3 nites from Fri to Sun. Mt 12:40 And while I’m here the Rapture is another spirit of error. Tithing another spirit of error you are to give freeing not under law. These are the truths that keep me at enemy status with organized religion I call them church folks. Jesus said if the world hates you it hated me first Jn 15:18 and the world is all over the church with its first lady. I am not affiliated with any church, the church has left the building. I’m in good company because of Jesus in Gal 4:6
Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth, remember people… it was the church folks that opposed Jesus the most the so called men of the flock holding their traditions above truth Mark 7:13 thus making the word ( truth of God) of no effect. I digress.

  25. Greetings Joshua – I don’t mean to come across as rude, but I found a link you might want to consider, if you still believe Constantine “developed” the idea of the “Trinity” at Nicea. Given you publish content, I’d respectfully just caution you not to read into scripture (eisegete) what might not be there / proof text. After all, Paul said nothing directly about the current issue of driving without insurance, but the concepts of obeying law and ethics are sprinkled throughout Scripture. (sorry for a bad analogy).
    Peace to you. 🙂 https://www.christian-history.org/doctrine-of-the-trinity.html
