The Great TRINITY Hoax: 5 Easy Ways To Debunk The Trinity Doctrine (Shocking)

One of the strangest doctrines that live on throughout the ages is the doctrine of Trinity.

Modern Christianity holds this doctrine as the most fundamental belief that one cannot be saved without believing it.

Yet, the word trinity is NEVER found in the Bible and most Bible scholars would ADMIT that this doctrine did not originate from the Bible, but instead has its roots in paganism.

As clear as the pieces of evidence are against the trinity doctrine, many “Christians” today still believe and taught it.

In this post, let me share with you 5 explanations that will prove the Holy Spirit is never a persona in the God Family.

Are you ready?

Great.

Let’s begin!

1. The Holy Spirit is the power of God.

Throughout the Bible, the Holy Spirit is described as the power of God. It is never addressed as an individual or a separate entity. Here are some of the scriptures that prove the Holy Spirit as the power of God.

  • Zechariah 4:6 – “… Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts.”

  • Micah 3:8 – “But as for me, I am filled with POWER, with the Spirit of the LORD…”

  • II Timothy 1:7 – For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control”.

  • Act 1:8 – “But you will receive POWER when the Holy Spirit has come upon you…“.

  • Luke 1:35 – “And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the POWER OF THE MOST HIGH will overshadow you…”

  • Luke 4:14 – And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a report about him went out through all the surrounding country.

  • Rom 15:19 – by the power of signs and wonders, by the POWER of the Spirit of God

2. The Holy Spirit is likened to different things but not to God.

We can read in the Bible that the Holy Spirit is considered as anything but God. Here are some references.

  • Holy Spirit as a gift“And the believers from among the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even on the Gentiles” (Act 10:45).

  • Holy Spirit can be quenched –   “Do not quench the Spirit” (1Th 5:19).

  • Holy Spirit can be shared or distributed – “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost” (Heb 6:4).

  • Holy Spirit can be poured down“… I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams… and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing” (Acts 2:17, 33).

  • Holy Spirit as a wind and fire“And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting and there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.” (Act 2:2-3).

  • Holy Spirit as an earnest or down payment“Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit (2Co 5:5).

3. Jesus never called the Holy Spirit as His Father even if He was conceived by it.

If Holy Spirit is an entity in the God Family, Jesus should have called the Holy Spirit as Father since we can read in Matthew 1:20;

“But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.”

Yet, we can see throughout the Gospels that Jesus called God the Father as His Father. This only shows that the Holy Spirit is the POWER of God and Jesus and never a separate entity.

4. Paul’s salutations in His epistles never mentioned the Holy Spirit.

If the Holy Spirit is a God persona, we should have read Paul mentioning it in his salutations in all his epistles. If he did not, then it will be a great insult to the Holy Spirit!

Paul did not just ignore the Holy Spirit once, twice or thrice, but 13 TIMES! Surely, we should have seen God punishing or even just telling Paul that he forgot someone in the God family, right?

If the Holy Spirit is a person, surely God or Jesus should have revealed this to Paul. But NO. We don’t see anything of that happening in the New Testament. Here are some of the salutations of Paul.

  • Rom 1:7 – To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • 1Co 1:3 – Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • 2Co 1:2 – Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Gal 1:3 – Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,

  • Eph 1:2 – Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Php 1:2 – Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Col 1:2 – To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • 1Th 1:1 – Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • 2Th 1:1 – Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

  • 2Th 1:2 – Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • 1Ti 1:2 – Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

  • 2Ti 1:2 – To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

  • Tit 1:4 – To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.

  • Phm 1:3 – Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Was the Holy Spirit mentioned? These greetings never included the Holy Spirit!

5. The Holy Spirit was NOT mentioned in visions

Another interesting fact is whenever a servant of God has a vision of the throne of God; the Holy Spirit is not mentioned.

If ever the Holy Spirit is a member of the Godhead Family, why did the visions of God’s saints never mentioned it? The answer is plain and simple. The Holy Spirit is never a persona in the God Family.

  • Act 7:55-56 – “But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, and said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.”

  • Daniel 7:9-14 – Daniel describes here the Ancient of Days, which we know as God the Father along with millions of angelic being. Daniel also mentioned the “One like the Son of Man” who later became Jesus Christ.

  • Revelation 4-5, 21 – these chapters describe the end-time vision and the appearing of God’s throne. Yet, the Holy Spirit is absent.

Conclusion

These five explanations, along with the numerous verses quoted, leads to only one conclusion: the doctrine of Trinity is unbiblical and therefore, should not be a major doctrine of churches today.

We don’t see any proof that the Holy Spirit is worshipped. We don’t even read any prayer or psalms dedicated to it. Clearly, there is something wrong with the popular doctrine of Trinity.

I know there will be people who will argue, but please use the scriptures to defend your belief and not just what you assume or think.

Is God Trinity

It is worth noting as well that there are scriptures that seem to “prove” the trinity doctrine, but a deeper examination of those scriptures will tell you otherwise. I can’t cover all these arguments in a single blog. Thankfully, I share to you a highly informative and well-researched FREE booklet. Please request your copy of Is God Trinity?

Knowing the truth is important. The trinity doctrine obscures the true nature of God. Satan who wants to be part of the Family of God forced himself to it and come up with the Trinity doctrine.

It is time to wake up. Learn the truth and you will be able to worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

  2. This is right on, you do a very good job of supporting your case with scripture. More Christians need to read this.

    • Hi Jared, Thank you for this article, you are absolutely correct the evidence and proof against the trinity theory really does refute the trinity but there are two people that are notorious in trying to convince people that the trinity is the truth David wood and Sam shamoun and these people have been refuted in many ways but I think you would do great in debating with them with all evidence and proof you have and Offcourse there is much more in the end like you said we all just need the truth!

  6. Wonderful teaching. I have rejected the trinity doctrine for more than 20 years now. It is very clear the bible doesn’t tech it.

  7. Perhaps Joshua you are using a Translation of the Bible that has deleted the Trinity who are called The Godhead in Scripture and it is not just the New World Translation that has done this but they will all be held accountable for doing so unless they repent and put right the wrong they have done. Revelation 22:18-19 and this is referring to all Scripture in the Bible not just those in Revelation.

Colossians 2:8-10 Beware lest any Man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the tradition of Men, after the rudiments of the World and not after Christ. For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him which is the Head of all Principality and Power:

You need to ask for God’s Wisdom Joshua and stop relying on your own understanding or on others including your Church Leaders. Jesus is our only Spiritual Teacher through the Empowering of The Holy Spirit, if what He Teachers us in Scripture is ignored or deleted by others we reject what those in ignorance or who are deceived share and also those who are False Teachers confirmed after Testing their spirit..

God The Father, Jesus The Living Word and The Holy Ghost are One in Spirit but have different Roles in The Godhead or Trinity as we call Them today, just as we call Dragons etc mentioned in Scripture Dinasores today, Aides, D.N.A and the Rapture are also in Scripture but not by those names. Yes, some words change over the years like Gay use to mean Happy but now is referring to Homosexuals but what they do is an Abomination to God it does not bring Him Joy.

1 John 5:7 For there are Three that bear record in Heaven, The Father, The Word, and The Holy Ghost and these Three are One K.J.V.

I will Post some more Scriptures below for you Joshua that confirm the Trinity but there are more they are all from the K.J.V.

John 14:8-11 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me Philip even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority rather, it is the Father, living in me who is doing His Work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me or at least believe on the evidence of the Works themselves.

    1John 4:2 By this you know the Spirit of God every Spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God;

As we know Joshua all Scripture needs to be read in context, we remember they all fit together and confirm each other so we can know what has been added or deleted. This is also Truth in reference to the Old and New Testament and we also have other Historical confirmation including the Dead sea Scrolls, even though some of the writers were of other faiths, the confirmation for the Scriptures in them has been proven by Scripture itself and God confirms His Truth in the written word or Bible through The Holy Spirit. (1Corthians 2:9-16)

So let’s now look in Context the Scripture confirm The Trinity with other Scriptures….

1Corinthians 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is The LORD, but by the Holy Ghost.

What does it mean to call Jesus LORD, we can see from the Scriptures below…..

Isaiah 54 :5 For thy Maker is thine Husband; the LORD of hosts is His Name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall He be called.

Revelation 1:7-8 Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the LORD, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 19:15-16 And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the Nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a Name written, KING OF Kings and LORD OF Lords.

What does it mean to call Jesus the Rock…..

Deuteronomy 32:3-5 Because I will publish the Name of the LORD, ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, His work is Perfect: for all His ways are judgment: a God of Truth and without iniquity, just and right is He.

1 Corinthians 10:3-5 And did all eat the same Spiritual meat; And did all drink the same Spiritual drink: for they drank of that Spiritual Rock that followed them and that Rock was Christ.
Romans 9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and Rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

I’m going to share with you now Joshua some of the Scriptures that confirm God came in The flesh through Jesus who being One with The Father in Spirit is God as is The Holy Spirit. 1John 5:7.

Matthew 1:22-23 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the Prophet; saying, Behold a Virgin shall be with Child and shall bring forth a Son and they shall call His Name Emmanuel which being interpreted is God with us.

John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the Beginning with God. All things were made by Him and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was Life and the Life was the Light of Men. And the Light shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehended it not.

Genesis 1:26 – 27 And God said, Let us make Man in our image after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God Created Man in His own image in the image of God Created He him, Male and Female Created He them.

Colossians 1:15 -17 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by Him were all things Created that are in Heaven and that are in earth visible and invisible whether they be Thrones, or Dominions, or Principalities, or Powers all things were Created by Him and for Him: And He is before all things and by Him all things consist.

Isaiah 9:6-7 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the Government shall be upon His shoulder and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Revelation 1:1-18 The Revelation of Jesus Christ

    To God be The Glory

    • I’ve read through your comment and not a single verse you gave proves your point. I don’t see the logic of equating the term “Godhead” to trinity. It’s a well known fact that I Peter 5:7 is a spurious addition by people who can’t accept that the teaching of trinity isn’t biblical. If you read modern translations, you won’t read I Peter 5:7 supporting the trinity doctrine.

      • You cannot see the logic, you say, of equating the term Godhead to trinity. Either you don’t use your logic correct or you have to improve it. If you are NON Trinitarian you shouldn’t even mention the word Godhead because you don’t know what does it mean. I can understand that your Greek is zero but it doesn’t matter. This is what Strong concordance say about this word. The personal God revealed in the Bible who is triune and infinitely relational as demonstrated by the embodiment of the Godhead in the incarnated Christ……
        2320. theotés
Strong’s Concordance GODHEAD ( Greek theotés: deity
        Original Word: θεότης, ητος, ἡ
        Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
        Transliteration: theotés
        Phonetic Spelling: (theh-ot’-ace)
        Short Definition: deity, Godhead
2320 theótēs (a feminine noun derived from 2316 /theós, “God”) – the personal God revealed in the Bible who is triune and infinitely relational as demonstrated by the embodiment of the Godhead in the incarnated Christ
Learn some Greek Biblical language, it will help you to see more clearly.

      • I’m sorry but you are using a man-made definition of Godhead. Obviously, Strong is adding his own interpretation. Please use scripture to prove your point.

      • Even the part that says I and my Father are one have nothing to do with a Trinity. Jesus is speaking of KNOWING him so that you can see the Father’s traits in Jesus, not literally see the Father. It’s like you can see your friend’s Father in him by the way he acts and speaks because you’ve KNOWN your friend for such a long time. Also, Revelation says it was a revelation by Christ which God GAVE him. These portions are usually overlooked by anyone believing in the Trinity. Especially the well known “Son OF God.” Like “the Book OF mormon” mormons aren’t the book that they made or created.

  8. One must maintain honesty and integrity of heart as he searches the Scripture as it is written in Proverbs 15:14
The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly.
Just for your information, I know the Greek Biblical Koine language very well and I know what it is written in Septuagint and N.T. The original Greek Scriptures cannot be changed no matter how hard others are trying with the influence of demons to deceive many. Also John 5:39
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
You can deny everything which is against your beliefs, you can reject Stong’s definition of what Godhead means but you cannot deny THE GREEK SCRIPTURES. Yes we feel blessed that we can understand speak and write ancient Greek even though they opposes with your thoughts regarding The Holy Trinity.

    • Again, where’s your scripture proving trinity? You can’t use Godhead to pertain to trinity. There’s no connection. Where do you read in the scripture that Godhead is the same as trinity? Anyone can make a claim but proving it is another.

    • Jesus neither spoke or wrote in Greek. The original early believers and writers of the word were not Greek, but Hebrew. Just a thought for what it may be worth.

  9. You stated….Anyone can make a claim but proving it is another.
The prove is in the original Greek Scriptures and not as in many translated corrupted bibles killing all verses referring to Jesus Deity. NWT is a typical one of them. A small example among thousands corrupted verses is Timothy 3.16 The Greek Scriptures and manuscripts say….καὶ ὁμολογουμένως μέγα ἐστὶ τὸ τῆς εὐσεβείας μυστήριον· Θεὸς ἐφανερώθη ἐν σαρκί, ἐδικαιώθη ἐν Πνεύματι, ὤφθη ἀγγέλοις, ἐκηρύχθη ἐν ἔθνεσιν, ἐπιστεύθη ἐν κόσμῳ, ἀνελήφθη ἐν δόξῃ. Translation… God was manifest in the flesh,
Who is this God manifested in bodily form??? Can It be Jesus?. Is Jesus God? Yes or No?
I should agree that Trinity is a hoax if I could take away thousands of verses that show the Holy Trinity. Just to mention few…Matthew 28:19
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. ARE YOU BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER< THE SON AND THE HOLY GHOST? Be real with yourself…
1 Corinthians 8:6 Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist. /////
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ( WAS GOD NOT a god) Greek papyrus Manuscripts below regarding John 1.1///
.2 Corinthians 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.///
Luke 3:22 And the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.” ///
Colossians 2:9 For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, (here the whole fullness means whole not just a part…)///
James 2:19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! /////
John 1:3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.///
Titus 2:13 Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, … not like watchtower puts it with parenthesis.///
I honestly get scared when I hear preachers saying they preach the true gospel and at the same time strip off the deity of Christ, simply because the Scriptures do not agree with the preoccupied ideas.

    • Hi Giorgos,

Thanks for your patience in waiting my answer. As you know, I have a full-time job and other commitments to attend to.

Regarding your comment, allow me to answer them. However, this can be a very long discussion. So, I hope you have the patience to read through my reply.

Just to set things clear, I believe in God the Father (the Yahweh) and Jesus Christ whose real name is Yahshua. More importantly, I don’t deny the existence of the Holy Spirit.

What I don’t agree with is that the Holy Spirit is being considered as a god and worst of all making it equal to the Father and the Son.

With that being said, let me continue my response.

Matthew 28:19 has been TAMPERED with. The truth is that the “Holy Spirit” has been added to this verse. Originally, it should only state, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son.

I know this can be a shocking revelation to you. Haven’t thought about why it is only in Matthew 28:19 that you can read this formula (Father+Son+HS)? In other Gospels, you can only read baptizing them in the Father and the Son. Even in Acts and other places in the New Testament, It only says baptizing them in the name of our Savior?

I know the full explanation is just too long. Please read this eye-opening article about how trinitarians desperately added the Holy Spirit in Matthew 28:19:

      http://www.biblicaltruths.com/12-reasons-why-the-holy-spirit-is-not-a-person-part-3/

Moreover, even if Matthew 28:19 hasn’t tampered with, it does not prove anything. The preponderance of evidence points to the fact that the HS is the power of the God the Father and Jesus Christ. Never a separate god.

By the way, I haven’t even heard you trying to contest my arguments from this blog. I wonder how you can find different excuses just to defend the pagan-inspired doctrine of Trinity.

I won’t even bother to take the effort to answer every verse you cited since I can’t see any of them proving the trinity doctrine.

Thanks for your time, Giorgos. It is my sincerest hope for God to reveal His truth to all of His servants.

      • Hi Joshuainfantado
First I have to say that I have full respect to people who believe in God and study the Bible.
Regarding Trinity and your comment…. I believe in God the Father (the Yahweh) and Jesus Christ whose real name is Yahshua. More importantly, I don’t deny the existence of the Holy Spirit.
What do you mean when you say that you believe in God the Father JHWH and Jesus Yahshua? As God or that their real name is JHWH and Yahshua? Let’s leave out for the moment the Holy Spirit since you don’t consider as god. (I will only remind you a verse from the Bible Matthew 12:31 So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven–except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven.
How you understand this verse and what is the Spirit??
You stated. Matthew 28:19 has been TAMPERED with. The truth is that the “Holy Spirit” has been added to this verse. To which manuscripts are you refereeing to? I can show you the oldest manuscripts that it is there.
Your statement…. Please read this eye-opening article about how trinitarians desperately added the Holy Spirit in Matthew 28:19: …. I use the Scriptures the only eye opening book and not individuals who according to their beliefs can take a pen and write whatever they want. I do really read everything and I keep what is best and correct according to the world of God. It is written in the Bible, taste everything, keep the best that bear witness about God.
Your statement…. Obviously, Strong is adding his own interpretation.. …. You deny everybody which is for Trinity but you believe anybody who is against Trinity You blindly believe Edmond Macaraeg and on his thoughts 12 Reasons Why the Holy Spirit is Not a Person. Search the Scriptures if it is so….

      • Hello Giorgos,

I also have great respect for people who sincerely seek the truth.

I exactly mean what I said, “I believe in Yahweh, our heavenly Father and Yahshua the Messiah.”

The Bible is clear that there are only two God-being in the Divine Family. I have sufficiently proven that through this blog.

Regarding Matthew 12:31, the Holy Spirit is the power of God. Jesus was conceived by the POWER of the Holy Spirit. Isn’t it surprising that Christ never called the Holy Spirit as His Father even though He was conceived by it? Therefore, the HS is never a god entity but rather the power of God.

Blaspheming against the power of God is also denying God. It is a sin that if you don’t repent of, will lead to eternal death.

As you can see, I only blog when I have the spare time since there are other things that I need to attend to. I can’t possibly answer all your questions by my own words. That’s why I’m asking you to please refer to the links I have shared. Maybe in the future, I’ll write my own article about Matthew 28:19. If you have read the article I shared with an open mind, I’m sure you will find something that is worth considering.

        Thanks, Giorgos.

  10. Hallow Joshuainfantado
My time is also limited, I work both days and nights for the daily bread…..I spend much of my spare time reading the Bible and comparing the original Greek Scriptures with twelve different other translations, not to find mistakes but to avoid them.
Not so long ago I was visited by two JWs and they stated to talk about Trinity. The word Trinity they said us not even mentioned in the Bible. I fully agreed with them but I told them….. The Bible is not a lexicon where you can search for a word how is spelled and what does it mean. In the Greek language 17 million words ( you heard correct 17 million) and it’s not possible to have all these words in a book. I also told them that gravity is not mentioned in the scriptures but it doesn’t mean it does not exist. We feel from the time we were born.
Your statement…. Isn’t it surprising that Christ never called the Holy Spirit as His Father even though He was conceived by it? …… Jesus never called Mary His mother either but it doesn’t mean Mary was not His ” physical” mother. In John 19:26-27 Jesus called His Mother “woman” and to he apostles “Here is your mother.”
John 19.26-27 When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman, here is your son,” and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.

    • Hi Giorgos,

I could see that we won’t really be able convinced one another with our belief on trinity and there’s no point of arguing. But I could see that you are a good person, someone I would be happy to call my friend. Though we have our doctrinal differences, I’m sure there are more things that we can agree with.

So, I’ll just leave it there. Let’s agree to disagree. 🙂

      God bless you, my friend.

      Joshua

      • Honest disagreement is often a good sign of progress. It forces both sides to question their own opinions and why they feel that way.
        Anyhow, thanks for your time.
I close with a verse from the Bible
2 Corinthians 13:14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

    • I have asked this question of several persons, and none have ever given me an answer. If Jesus truly commanded the apostles to baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, then why among all the accounts of baptism by those very same apostles in Acts is there no account of them baptizing by any formula other than in the name of Jesus Christ? It is a curious thing, at least to me.

  11. Interesting.
the trinity is a false doctrine. I use to believe the trinity coming from a pentecostal background. But I began seeing to many scriptures that contradicted the trinity and Jesus being God.
the trinity belief is that Jesus when on earth was fully God fully man. YET they then say but he didnt use his divinty, his God ness but was found as a human. BUT can you explain to me then how he was being fully God yet not being fully God??
Because in creation you can see everything being everything it was created as. That is a tree continually behaves as a tree. A fish continually swims in the ocean. God continually is God. Jesus is as God made him. This is logical, because in the beginning God said “Everything behave as you want” and everything did as it pleased. NO actually God said everything produce after its own kind and God blessed them and said be fruitful and multiply. And God saw that it was GOOD. Because everything obeyed the word of God.
Everything God created obeys the Law of God.
The word says God doesnt change. This is a fact. So God in the beginning has to be exactly the same for eternity. Therefore if Jesus was fully man fully God, then he was God in the beginning. Exodus 20:5 for I the Lord your God am a JEALOUS God. So Jesus being God should have visited the iniquity of the Pharisees because they hated him. Thats scriptual. Exodus 34:14 Thou shall worship no other god. So when they worshipped God in heaven did Jesus get jealous as this verse says he should?
If Jesus was fully God, at what point did he become fully God?
Was it at conception or at birth or when he was a man or when he died or when he rose again?
If Jesus was fully God then you have a baby fully God with all Gods attributes with a spirit that is already fully God. If this is true why couldnt he talk or walk or heal people since he was fully God.
Because if he wasnt fully God then God has changed and the bible says God cannot change Mal 3:6
So then Mary had to change Gods nappy and put God to sleep and breast feed God just to mention a few.
Not to mention what happened to God while he was in Marys womb for 9 months?
John 16:13 Says the holy spirit only speaks that which he hears the Father say. But according to the meaning of co-equal this attribute must be in Jesus and God.
So we have a trinity of three but one God who does not speak on their own but only that which they hear from God. So since no one can speak on their own then God can never say anything unless someone speaks first.
Jesus is the mediator between God and man. If Jesus is God then he cannot then be called the mediator between because he being God cannot mediate between man and himself. That would defeat the purpose of being a mediator. If he was to mediate between God and man on behalf of man then he cannot be God while doing so otherwise his mediating would be biased.
Jesus is our high priest Hebrews 3:1-6:20 The word says every high priest taken from among men, the things that pertain unto man. If Jesus was God then he wouldnt meet the requirements for being the high priest. If Jesus is God then he cannot be our high priest because he isnt just a man but fully God as well. The high priest was to enter the holy of holies to of sacrifice once a year to offer for the sins of the people unto God. If Jesus was God then he would have been offering that sacrifice unto himself. Jesus paid the price to himself?
The bible says that Jesus was flesh and blood, yet Numbers 23 says God is not human.
The word says we are partakers of the divine nature. We are not partakers of God. We are partakers of Christ, of his divine nature that comes from being the only begotten son of God.
If Jesus is God then because we are in Christ seated with him in heavenly places you are saying you are seated in God, one with God. When everyone worships God then you are being worshipped as well because you are one with God.
    THIS IS BLASPHEMY.
That is also the sin of satan, wanting to be as God and its the sin he tempted Eve with, “you will be as God”
In saying Jesus is God man has fallen once again into the same sin as Eve.
God the Father is the one true God, Jesus is the only begotten son of God, we are sons and daughters of God and we are Jesus brethren.
We cannot be the brethren of God because we are NOT God.

    • Hi Daniel,

Jesus or Yahshua was God in the flesh. John 1 clearly tells us that in the beginning, there were two Gods and through Christ, everything was created. Now, tell me, how was Christ not a God then when in fact, He is the creating Agent of whom God the Father used to create all things?

I definitely agree that the trinity is false, but this does not mean that Christ isn’t God because He is. If He is not God, then His death is only valuable for one person. He can’t die for all human beings. But if He is God, then His death is enough to cover all people who have lived and died.

    • Daniel I agree with you .. Jesus is literal begotten Son of God …I am so glad I have come across someone that has the same knowledge. Trinity goals are to get people away from Christ the Son of God because Salvation is found in no one else but Him. To deny the Son is to be part of the antichrist 1 John 2:22-23, 22 Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also.

      • Confessing Christ—-Matthew 10:32-34
32 Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven. 34 Do not assume that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
Love Comes from God——1 John 4:14-16
…14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 If anyone confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have come to know and believe the love that God has for us. God is love; whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him

    • So refreshing to see other Christians who believe the trinity is false. This one false teaching has done more harm. Not to mention it is just absurd. God sent his only begotten to save the world. I think a number of people in this thread are all coming from the same place. Just to add a few thoughts:
      – Moses saw God “face to face”
      – Christ is our mediator. He is the go-between. His atonement is what allows us to come back into God’s presence
      – How many times does Christ pray to the Father? What, people think he’s praying to himself?
      – Stephen sees Christ standing on the right side of God.
      – Christ shows himself after the resurrection, with a body of flesh and blood. Why on earth would he be the first person to be resurrected and open the way for all of us, just to then go give up his body again to be some sort of “trinity” without form, substance, emotion, etc.
      – Paul talks about how we are the children of God. We were created in God’s image. We were not created in the image of some trinity without form, etc.
      – I’ve heard justification by people who quote Christ saying “the Father and I are one.” Does it not cross their minds that they are one in purpose, perfect, without sin, with the same goal to bring salvation to all of mankind? Does the verses below in the Great Intercessory Prayer sound like they want all of us to be part of the trinity? Of course not. Christ wants us to be “one” the same as he and the Father. One in purpose, love, righteousness, etc. From John chapter 17:

21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may beaone, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

I’ve been told by other Christians that I’m not Christian, just because I don’t believe in the trinity. A Christian is someone who believes in Christ, follows his teachings, knows that salvation only comes through Christ. This false doctrine of the trinity has caused more confusion and caused more people to stumble more than probably any other false teaching out there.

  12. If you read Matthew 21:33-37 there’s Jesus speaking in an illustration concerning the prophets whom God sent and the wicked killed (look at Hebrews 1:1,2 as well) then he goes on to speak about the Father (illustrated as the landowner) who, lastly, sent his son and they killed him too. It is not any confusion, Jesus is the Son OF another being and Not the Son of a third of himself, otherwise even the illustration Jesus gave would’ve been clear as day, concerning the Trinity, but his illustration is pretty clear to me that he is not a third of anything. We can also read where Jesus speaks of the TWO witness rule (speaking from a human standpoint here as well) and states he and his father bear witness about him. (John 8:17,18) TWO witnesses. No mention of a Holy spirit here. Just TWO witnesses, he and his Father. Also see verse 19 is where he speaks of KNOWING him just as he spoke to Philip about KNOWING him (John 14:9-11) and by KNOWING him you would see the Father in Jesus, because he and his Father are alike. You know Jesus, seen him act, then you’ve basically seen the Father right there but of course, Jesus tells us plainly that NO man has seen God. (John 1:18) Now, as for the God being in Jesus’ human body (the Trinity teaches this since God cannot die) that would mean that a ransom wasn’t paid by God but by a human body possesed by God. Not just that but had Jesus been God, even in spirit, he wouldn’t have said he was going to his God and our God and to his Father and our Father. (John 20:17) this was said by Jesus AFTER his ressurection. He was a spirit by now so it’s more than confusing to say these words. After saying this to Mary, she went and told the apostles and they all knew the truth. Thomas surely knew as well so that when he states “My Lord and My God” he knew very well to call Jesus his Lord and the Father, Jehovah, his God. The name Jehovah usually spoken against as “There is no J in hebrew” but the book of Job and Jeremiah, along with many other J names (including “Je·hoʹvah-jiʹreh” Genesis 22:14) is in the bible. If you want to see the history of the Trinity you could look up “Constatine and the Trinity” and see also “Plato and the Trinity.” I hope you enjoy.

  13. I meat to say “The Father” but I put The God accidently. I was erasing and rewritting because I wanted to be as reasonable as possible.

    • Before, I go. I wanted to say that there are those that like to use Ice and the sun as an illustration of the Trinity because there’s vapor, water, and Ice. Somehow all three are Ice although there’s water and vapor there which actually is a result of the ice slowly being destroyed or melted. I could go deeper into this but the Bible is clear (James 1:17) God does not vary or change like the shifting shadows. And Our God is ONE God (Deuteronomy 6:4) and so the example of The Ice and The Sun doesn’t apply to God.

      • Plain and Simple, thank you for bringing up God as ONE. He is ONE, not three. We were made in His image therefore we can somewhat understand him by understanding ourselves. We are flesh and bone, we have a spirit, and we have a soul, but we are one in action and motive. I was raised Trinitarian and NEVER understood the doctrine, I do believe it is evil and distracts from the loving message of the Bible. I became a One God Apostolic Pentecostal through God leading me to that church the week I told him I was done with church. Isaiah 43:11 “I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.” His name “Jesus” literally translates in Hebrew as Jehovah has become our salvation. And the blood of innocence and perfection were the covering at the first Passover in exodus 12, and transferred to the blood of Jesus the perfect creator and God made flesh and dwelling among us. John 1:1-14 Thank you Sally Hellman for bringing up the relationship with a God who wrote a book to us about the greatest love story ever written about a God who saves his people with His own blood! Thank you joshuainfantado for posting this post and provoking thought.

  14. very good blog Joshua, I agree trinity is not Biblical, Holy Spirit is not a person but power of God..Jesus Christ is literal Son of God..Trinity is most evil not only they changed God but they changed baptism formula and baby baptism is not Biblical either.. What I have noticed with Roman Catholic Church is baptizing babies in the wrong formula gives them a spirit of error, which is very evil, like a curse My whole family has no interest in reading the Bible nor they desire to have a relationship with Christ. I am different than my family members I have never excepted the trinity to be true. I was born with Jesus Christ by my side and I will die with Jesus Christ by my side…

    • Hi Sally,

      Thanks for your comment.

I know it could be hard to be different especially from your family.

However, just remain strong. As the Messiah said, we must be ready to forsake everything for His name’s sake.

As for us, we must continually learn the truth and live by the truth.

      Regards,
      Joshua

  15. You say : The Holy Spirit is never addressed as an individual or a separate entity.
That’s false. John 16:13 Jesus refers to the Holy Spirit as “HE” meaning a person, and in the same verse says the Holy Spirit shall not speak of “Himself” meaning an individual person.
In John 14:26 Jesus told the disciples that “HE” ( the Holy Ghost ) shall teach them all things. Only a person with knowledge can teach.
In Acts 8:29; ~ 10:19; ~ 21:11; In these verses the Holy Spirit is speaking, not the Son nor the Father. For the Holy Spirit to speak as the word of God says he did, then he must be a person.
1John 5:7 says there are Three that bear witness in heaven. One of those witnesses is the Holy Ghost, which makes him distinct from the Father and Son. Only a person can be a witness and testify

You say: The Holy Spirit is considered as anything but God
That’s false. Acts 5:3-4 Peter tells Ananias that he has lied to the Holy Ghost, then in the same breath tells Ananias he has lied to God. So Lying to the Holy Spirit is no different than lying to God. Also, you can’t lie to the Holy Spirit if he isn’t a person.
Genesis 6:6 “And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it GRIEVED him at his heart”
Ephesians 4:30 “And GRIEVE not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption”
The Holy Spirit can be grieved just as God can be, so you can likened the Holy Spirit to God

You say: Jesus never called the Holy Spirit Father
That’s because the Holy Spirit isn’t his Father. The Holy Ghost came upon Mary to sanctify the womb to receive a Holy Child, because Jesus is God with us ( Matthew 1:23 )
All who are saved are sanctified by the Holy Ghost ( Romans 15:16 )
Jesus referred to the Holy Ghost as the Comforter whom the Father and He will send after Jesus’ departure ( John 14:26 & 16:7 )

You say: Paul’s salutations in his epistles never mention the Holy Spirit
True. But Paul does make a distinction of the Holy Ghost by saying that the Christian body is the temple of the Holy Ghost ( 1Corinthians 6:19.)
Also in 2Corinthians 13:14 Paul makes a clear distinction between the Son, the Father, and the Holy Ghost. Here Paul asks for the fellowship of the Holy Ghost, which makes no sense unless the Holy Ghost is a distinct living person
You don’t have fellowship with something that is non-living
Now the salutation of 1Peter mentions the Holy Spirit
1Peter 1:2 “Elect, according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied”
Another clear distinction between the Father, Son and Holy Ghost

You say: The Holy Spirit was Not mentioned in visions
False: JOEL 2:28-29 “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit”
Notice that visions, dreams, and prophecies are all directly connected to the Holy Spirit himself

The word of God is perfectly clear that the Holy Spirit is a person.
And God’s word doesn’t contradict itself

    • Hi Lamar,

      Thanks for your comment.

      1. The “He” argument can easily be dismissed. The translators who are zealous in establishing trinity doctrine made a mistranslation. It should be an “it.”

      2. We must remember that the HS is the extension of God. It is His power. Thus, when you blaspheme the HS, you are actually blaspheming God.

      3. Of course we are the temple of the HS. Does that mean that the HS is a person? Of course not. Again, the HS is the power of God.

      4. If you don’t have bias for trinity, all the scripture you quoted won’t mean that the HS is a person.

I know my response is short. I honestly don’t have time to answer all the points you mentioned. Thankfully, all the arguments you sent are addressed in thie FREE booklet: IS GOD A TRINITY: https://www.ucg.org/bible-study-tools/booklets/is-god-a-trinity

The booklet is free. So, I highly recommend you get a copy.

If you just look into the history of trinity, you will soon realize how it infiltrated the mainstream Christianity.

      Regards,
      Joshua

  16. Jesus Christ said in John 15:26 that the Holy Spirit shall testify of him. Jesus knew that Jews have law when it comes to bearing witness. In fact during their times women are not allowed to testify, how much more a power or wind or some kind of energy can testify. His disciples are also Jews and they know that law. They will not accept what Jesus have said if it is not credible. In Romans 8:16, Paul also said that the Holy Spirit will testify together with our spirit. Paul is a Jew and he knows that law as well.

Holy Spirit is a being, not just a power or wind or some kind of force. God is in spirit form, He is a being. We have a spirit and that is also a being not just like a wind floating everywhere.

As you said in your article, the Holy Spirit can be shared. Yes He is, just like Jesus can be shared as well. It says that all the disciples are filled with the Holy Spirit. Omnipresence is one of the deity of a God.

  17. TO HELP DEBUK THE TRINITY HOAX, SUMMARY
    1) THE WORD “TRINITY” IS NOT IN THE BIBLE
    2) NOWHERE IN THE BIBLE IS INSTRUCTED TO PRAY TO THE “HOLY SPIRIT”
    3) 1 JOHN 5:7-8 WAS ALTERED FROM THE GREEK
    4) PAUL’S SALUTATIONS ONLY MENTION THE FATHER AND YESHUA/JESUS.
    5) THE CONCEPT OF “SPIRIT” FROM THE ORIGINAL HEBRAIC BIBLE CONTEXT.
    6) YET, WE BETTER BE CAREFUL ON WHAT WE SAY ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

    IN DETAIL:

    3) 1 JOHN 5:7-8 WAS ALTERED FROM THE GREEK

To justify the pagan teaching of the Trinity, deliberate alterations where made on the greek NT, such as the “Comma Johanneum” (Johns’s comma) at 1 John 5:7-8, where they inserted the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one”. The unaltered greek reads, “For there are three that testify: the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree.” The altered version reads, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.”

    5) THE CONCEPT OF “SPIRIT” FROM THE ORIGINAL HEBRAIC BIBLE CONTEXT.

    – Would the “seven spirits” bestowed on Yeshua/Jesus make him “seven persons in one”?
    (Isaiah 11:1-3, Matthew 17: 12-13)
We understand it refers to seven specific “qualities” but not to seven “persons”.

    – Would Elijah’s spirit” bestowed on Elisha and John The baptist, make either one “two persons in one”?
We understand it refers to be bestowed with Elijah’s spiritual empowerment, NOT with his “personhood”. (2 Kings 2: 9-14)
    – Otherwise it would be “reincarnation” which does NOT exist (Hebrews 9:27), personhood can not be transferred, Nicodemus asked Yeshua/Jesus about this (John 3: 4-5).
    – Otherwise John would’ve confessed TO BE Elijah or the Prophet (John 1:21), but he DID NOT.
    – The greek Strong 1411 (δύναμις) is translated as “abilities” (within context), on Luke 1:17 “and go before Him with the spirit and abilities * of Elijah”

    2 Kings 2: 9-14
Elisha asked for a double portion of Elijah’s spirit and it was granted.
    John: 3: 4
.. can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb and be born?
    Hebrews 9:27
And just as it is decreed that men die only once, and after this, the judgment.
    Matthew 17: 12-13
But I tell you that Elijah ALREADY CAME and they did not recognize him, but they did whatever they wanted to him. So also the Son of Man will suffer at their hands. Then the disciples understood that he had spoken to them about John the Baptist.
    Mal 4: 5; Mat 11:14, Mat 17: 10-12; Luk 1:17

    6) YET, WE BETTER BE CAREFUL ON WHAT WE SAYS ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
So one could partially understand, according to the above, that special spiritual gifts/empowerments/anointments can be passed from person to person, but NOT personhood. About the identity of the Holy Spirit we better be very careful because:
    Mark 3:28-30
    ESV
28 “Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, 29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”

  18. Peace. Thanks for sharing this, however, it’s nothing new. Those Christians who believe in the Trinity are baseless, only following conjecture. God has always been One God, it was always clear to the follower of the Scripture until after ~200 years after Jesus (when the Pagan Romans and the world in general started handling the Bible), and it has been made clear again 600 years later to the last Prophet in the Quran, which is a Revelation from God Almighty warning us again not to ascribe divinity to anything other than God.
