Scripture for the Day: Be at rest with God

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (I Peter 5:7).

Godcares

Do you feel overwhelmed with all your problems in life?

Do you sometimes want to throw your hands up and say, “I give up!”?

We all do once in a while in our daily Christian walk. But thankfully we have our Father in heaven who is willing to take our cares and make them His own.

In I Peter 5:7, God tells us to cast ALL our cares to Him — not just a few of our cares. Not just one or two, but He said ALL – no exemption.

The Apostle Peter knew that the Christian walk is the path less taken. Our walk is in the difficult and narrow road.

No one ever said that it will be easy, but we have our almighty Father who cares enough for us that even our very hair is numbered. Have you tried to count the strands of your hair? Can you imagine how difficult that is?

Yet, God knows the exact number of our hair strands. To top it all up, not even one hair strand falls without His knowledge. God is so concern about us that even the minutest details of our life He takes notice.

So the next time you feel like defeated; you lost your friends, family members, and loved ones; a difficult health trial; a difficult task is wearing you down; you are in the brink of falling apart; you are about to lose strength, faith and trust; or simply you just want to talk to; God tells us to cast ALL our care upon Him, for he cares for you.

What a tremendous comfort we have in our almighty Father. What more comfort do you need when the supreme and omnipotent Creator of the universe is looking after you?

My friend, I Peter 5:7 is more than a promise but it is a command.

God commands us to give up all we have in His loving hand and He will let us ride on the eagle’s wing. Everyone might start to forsake you but God never will.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and you will never be moved.

So stop worrying and start trusting!
